Awesome trip report! Thanks for taking the time to write it.

If I channel my inner surfer dude from Point Break, you could argue sketchy shelf roads and mile long flooded abandoned tunnels is more reality than the daily grind.

    Very much so.
While I spend more of my time pondering what's real and what isn't, I leave you with this photo of 'Canadian Geese'?20250715_161317.jpg

    I have a question.
Why are they called Canadian Geese?

The power has gone out here 3 times in the last 24 hours. 2 hours yesterday evening, hour and 40 minutes this afternoon, and twenty minutes just a little while ago. No storms. No wind. No explanation. Here's what they said after restoring it each time:

"...Cause: Facilities patrolled - no problems found."

If there was no problem, the fucking power would be on!

This is getting old really fast!

I've gone to Klamm Total Automotive in Racine. They do a great job overall. I usually leave the instruction sheet for the UCA's on the passenger seat. Sometimes they question the free play in the SPC's which is normal.
Realistically any decent shop should be able to align the SPC UCA's.

I had an issue with my wifi once. The cable guy came over and wouldn't touch anything. Said there was 3amps coming through the line at the pole and something was melted.
(There shouldn't be any amps going through the cable line).

My ground cable had disconnected from the transformer and the power was feeding back through the cable line.
    Basically my house wasn't grounded.

The power never went out, per say but the lights would occasionally flicker and some outlets would spark, some when plugging stuff in.

    Yikes

Just last week been working on pedestrian crossings that were supposedly disconnected. I got a nasty shock from a ground wire. Called the technician and told him to cut power to the intersection and he whined and bitched and moaned and the next day when the fire department was there cutting power the hard way...

Tonight's challenge is a coworkers Hyundai.
Crank no start, until a couple of tries.
    Starts then runs normal....
    CE light came on yesterday.
Dashboard lit up for him this morning with side and front sensor warning and CE light....
Still runs, still made it to work.

That's all I got to work with.
