What wheels are those? Look like RRW RG7’s but think those only come in 17’s

 

They are Black Rhino Aliso wheels

 

Any rubbing issues? mainly worried about the cab mount. Ive been thinking of going this route but hoping to not have to do cab mount chop. I have 1.5 ish lift with OME MT64

How you like those KO2’s? My Toyos are getting down there and I’m thinking of putting some KO3’s on

 

@Kbar - I love them. Grippy, solid. The biggest difference I notice is alignment … the steering is less swimmy.

 

Some new things on mine this past weekend.

 

Color matched front bumper is sweet, I’ve never seen anyone do that. Did you have it powder coated green?

 

Thank you! I had it stripped of the black powder coating and paint matched to the car at a body shop. I'm going to pull the factory fender flares off as well and either trade someone for Army green painted ones or just get a set and paint match them too. I think the paint matching make things a little different / clean.

 

Slimline full plate bumper?

 

Went from 265/75R16 AT3W to 255/85R16 AT4W.

Have to still see how long distance highway driving goes, but so far the lower peak power and slightly higher RPM band I need to aim for isn't an issue for normal driving on surface streets or short highway trips (tune and manifold spacer definitely are helping a lot with lower RPM toque though). Coworker is buying. the old wheels/tires set.

Wheels were mostly because I've had a thing for the TRD 'beadlocks' since the first time I saw one in person, though based on the pattern of trail damage the old wheels got I suspect the pseudo beadlock rings will absorb future damage before the main wheel given how inset the new wheels are.

Front flaps had to go so now looking for lower profile ones and shop strongly recommended CMC which I went with after I described my tendency to stuff the front wheels at near full lock while turning around on narrow trails.

Coworker bought my previous wheel/tire setup and this week we both ended up at work at the same place and time as another coworker who also has an AG 3rd gen

 

That is a beautiful truck. I look forward to the day when I get my build to this level of completion. Even though I have a lunar rock TRDOR, I still break my neck every time I see an Army Green Taco or 4runner.

 

Looks good What size tires are you running

 

Im running the same size and tire that came with the truck, just bought my first set, tires lasted 45k miles(werent even bald either)

265 75 16, the 75 sidewall and tire tread design make the difference

Tires are General Grabber X3

 

The tires have red lettering which go with the other red accents
