I have HyperHeat and I don't love it at all.

I don't know if the installer (a Diamond rated one to boot) sized the system wrong, filled it wrong or laid it out wrong, but what I thought I was getting versus what I got doesn't really gel. On a 90+ degree day my house rises to 78°F by the end of the day, so cooler than ambient but not like...old school AC cold and the heat is great, but it's outlandishly expensive, certainly not cheaper than oil or gas. My house HVAC is atrociously designed so the interface between the Mitsubishi system and the oil heat is also quite bad, but that's also very much my house. I've had them out multiple times to look at the lack of cooling and I keep getting fed the line that if I'm getting a 15 degree swing from ambient I'm doing well.

Jack you're an engineer. What you should do is find a way to make the shadows do magic so that when the fires going, the Steelers logo is being projected through the steel onto the ground.

We just recently did mini splits as well (couldn’t reasonably run duct work for central) and have been happy so far. We are only doing the bedrooms currently so it’s not a big area but plan to add living room and kitchen/dining room in the future which would cover majority of the living space. Mitsubishi units for us as well.

Skid plates & cat covers, 2WD LO mod (BB Tuning), Fumoto oil drain, ECT Always-On Mod (hardness by Funman1steve), 6awg DC DC tow charger wiring, inline 60 amp breakers & battery terminals, Kill switch, KJTO driver side grab handle, Hood hold open gas struts, Scangauge III, Seat Covers (Seat Covers Unlimited... wearing poorly),
If you can learn to rebuild brakes and engines you can install these with investment in equipment and knowhow.

DIY of traditional ductless AC here. Evacuated, Installed, pumped down and removed for cleaning, disassembled fully ( tons of mold from pollen) , reassembled, reinstalled. 3 units 3 times each over 12 years. 5 more units for family. No issues after redoing one balky unit. Bought at phaseout of R30 for a song and replaced at phaseout of R410a for discounts.

Procedure and equipment are key. A cheaper vacuum pump might draw down to 500 to 600 microns. A quality pump 200 microns but only with perfect procedure. Nitrogen purge and multiple drawdown make a difference. Valve core bypass tool is essential. Took multiple installs to get procedure nailed down. Equipment manufacture changes can throw a curveball.

GC with no prior hvac experience. Also rebuilt hot air furnace and controls to save money. A novice on automobiles but learning at 60.

Either sized wrong, or you were upsold what it can do, vs what it's capable of.

Without more info, I can't say.

And yeah, they're pricey to run for heat.

Love mine. Made to order with American fabric, thread, zippers, velcro. Completely customizable. Small family run business. Don't make them without speaking with you by phone. I just ordered a new pair of bottom covers after 11 years. Not worn or ripped, just too lazy to deep clean them.

Katskinz and throw some heating elements in while you have the truck torn apart. I’ll be doing that soon enough to the new truck, just a few more pressing mods first.

    I can ask.
No side work for me. I'm so busy right now, I can't even work on my own yard.
Illness if Travis is down. If so, Ill reach out.

Oh, and for any that care. The other brand is "Gree". So, Gree, or Mitsubishi. Nothing else.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'm looking for a cloth material instead of "leather".

I just want to protect the seats from me getting in and out and the occasional mud/dirt that they might see.

The driver seat had a small tear on the back and seat bottom (previous owner) which has grown larger with me dragging my ass across it when I get in and out after the truck was lifted.

I need to source new seat material (I wonder if I can find OEM for a good price) and recover the seat.

I may go with @CTSpruceMica suggestion.
