Build thread in sig... 4-link long travel
    correct, the '07

even with more bells and whistles in the 2017 on the computer side of things, the wheel sensors should operate the same. the sensors just read the a notched ring that's pressed onto the axle shaft and send back a binary signal to the computer when each notch passes the sensor.

the '07 does the same thing with the 4wd and speedometer when you cut the rear wires.

I've repaired a handful of abs sensor wires and never had an issue. I feel like I have lengthened them at least once but I can't remember for sure

I just extended my ABS wire on the passenger rear because I have a SOS performance disc brake conversion. This kit clocks the passenger unit bearing so the ABS sensor is facing forward like the driver side. The harness was long enough to reach by going under the axle but I subsequently snagged it on some brush I ran over and broke the wire. Same as you immediate Christmas Tree in the dash and no 4wd. I extended it about 6" so it could be routed on the top of the axle like it was before. I used the solder seal heat shrink butt connectors and have had no issues with the ABS since.

bummer that it doesnt clock them both to the rear to protect the sensors a bit more.

Dang, I’ve tried to repair a sensor twice. One on driver front and one on passenger rear — both times my 2012 did not like it!

If I’d like to pull a single leaf from my rear springs, should I go with the largest/longest just below the main leaf, or start with the bottom/shortest?

my goal is a little less ride height if I can, but mainly I think the spring rate is ramping up when I get close to bottoming the suspension. Rear bumps almost never get fully compressed, and I know they should — as I had full bump travel with some other springs in the past, with all the same components and setup.

My thought is the bottom small leaf, as this is the one that’s used when the pack is compressed. It probably won’t lower ride height any however.

    8 leaves total.

It converts the Tacoma to use the FJ Cruiser rear disc setup and that is how it is on the FJ Cruiser and the 4Runner. I went ahead and added a set of billet ABS sensor guards on the rear and front form ebay.

I think your leaves are on the wrong side of the axle

Hahaha I know I’m just messing around.

just remove the third leaf from the top and see how it sits. Good news is you can always go back to what you had before.

If you remove a long leaf you will make it very soft and drop it alot. Did it with my icon rxts. Removed the very bottom leaf for height, wasn't enough so I removed a long leaf near the top. Constantly on the bumps then.

thank you! that seems to be close to what the shop had done. Again this may have been some fluke thing for all i know given how bazar the carnage was for going over relatively lighter stuff and recalling no branches or anything in sight and all others on trip scratching their heads too.

    again, nuts.

FWIW - I will keep folks posted as we sort this out.

appreciate all the feedback everyone, thank you!

That seems to confirm my thinking!
Longer leaf will drip more ride height but be softer, shorter leaves aren’t as in play until bottomed out.

all good haha, but you aren’t wrong !
Housing required 110% of my funds recently, so I won’t have the cash to go SUA or preferably cage and links for a bit.
