Took my truck in for the BSM TSB today and an oil change. Left 1.5 hours later and strange that the A/C wasn’t cycling on like normal until up to highway speeds. When idling or moving slowly, it just blew warm air regardless of the setting - I usually keep it on AUTO and adjust temp. I suddenly get an overheating warning, shortly after the truck, with reduced power, is barely moving - the pic below is when the notice first popped up. It went straight to the H within another 20-30 seconds.

I pulled over, turned it off, popped the hood, and looked around… oil was good, but then I found this small connector that likely cycles the fan on/off based off the IAC was left unconnected. I guess it was part of the protocol to disconnect this connector for the BSM programming???

I plugged it back in, cranked truck up and the fan kicked on super HIGH for 45 seconds, temp was back to normal and the A/C was blowing ICE COLD again. These MF’rs… be sure to check all your connections around the radiator if/when you have this done. I’m going back tomorrow to make them check back over everything and find out what happened.

It's like they want the engine to fail.

Why on earth is this happening? You aren’t the first to report this.
