Mine has OEM pin stripes and I’m not a fan. When I had my blue Tacoma it also had pinstripes. I know they sell those rubber wheels to remove them, but when I did it I ended up burning the paint some.

was that user error or just what happens? I ended up having to get the truck buffed to correct it.

Plastic razor blade and some adhesive remover should do the trick. Then wax after that.

Plastic razor blade is a good idea I was worried about getting into the paint with a metal one thanks

Yea and those rubber wheels you attach to your drill can burn through the paint and plastic. I learned that the hard way removing my old and crusty rock chip sticker guards on the fenders. Goo Gone is amazing!

Might not need the hair dryer this time of yéar if you can put one side in direct sun for a couple hours

I used a 3M eraser wheel and it worked great. If you go this route, be sure to break in the wheel first by running it across some sandpaper. A lot of people skip that step, but it really helps prevent the wheel from grabbing too aggressively and possibly burning the paint if you're not careful.

Some Maryland dealers love putting pin stripes on Toyota trucks, Koons does it a lot. There are people who like the stripes but those pin stripes remind me of 1987.

this truck came from Maryland! Jones Toyota though. However Koons did a pre purchase inspection on it.

It will be glossy underneath and faded elsewhere

I've removed pin stripes on my maxima and it was clear as day.

Hmmm Jones may have used to do the stripping but pre purchase inspection at Koons. That truck probably came from Koons.

maybe so. Was bought new at Jones and all 24 oil changes done at Jones. The koons that did the inspection was in Arlington.

Used wd40 to remove my TRD bedside decals.

Will try it again when I replace my stone guards.
