    Hey RW,

I watched the All-Star Game until about 11pm last night...

Looks like a first-time "Swing Off" took place.

    Here's the highlights:

Nice! I went to the Red Sox & Nationals game a week or so back, the one where the Nats fired everyone at the end of the game

    Hey RW!

Welp, I got no meetings to attend to this morning!

But I am working some tasks...one of which I'm messaging another site to get some insight...lol!

Anyhow, it's Friday and I'm looking forward to a relaxing weekend.

    Hey RW.

I did a Bavarian Bakery trek today...enjoying an Apple Pocket/Turnover with coffee.

It rained overnight here...now the sun is trying to come out.

    Hey Eric,

    It's been a busy morning...

Prepped 2 eggs-over easy on toast for my wife...I had the remaining meal-prep enchiladas/rice/beans and one egg over-easy on top.

Time to get grocery shopping done early...and that's leaving the house before noon! lol

The rest of the day is wide-open...let's see what we end up doing.

We did Walmart pick up yesterday morning.

I bought a dash cam on Prime Day, I had been watching this one and it ended up on an actual sale. I need to install it in the Camry today or tomorrow.

I also scheduled a home energy audit for Tuesday, mainly to get a quote to have the attic insulation replaced. On the really hot days, like last Thursday, after we got home, our AC couldn’t keep up with the heat. I know our windows were probably the cheapest contractor grade and ldont insulate well.

    Oh, Man!

Insulation is the worst...if it's not up to par.

We had our entire HVAC unit replaced back in summer 2018.

It was a Delaware Energy Initiative and cost us roughly $10K...which was paid off in 2 years.

A couple years later, we had a second stand-alone HVAC smaller unit installed in the bonus room over the garage.

That install included insulation of the floor/ceiling of the garage and insulation in the attic...things are much more efficient now.

I imagine that's gonna take a good chunk of change for install....but it will be well worth it.

Yep. The previous owners upgraded the system to a heat pump system back in 2012 or right around then. I’ve never looked to see if it’s the right size. Also, and it really annoys me, they finished the basement (good) and have a drop ceiling (also somewhat good) but didn’t leave enough room to move the stupid tiles. I’ve no idea where the baffles are in the ducts to help control and change the air for different seasons.

I also think we’d benefit from 2 separate systems and I’ve considered adding a second in the attic just for the upstairs. Couple reasons I’ve not done that, I think I might need a new cb panel and it’s a pain to get the systems in the attic.

Since I’m not doing the second system or any split systems, I am going to add some returns to the bedrooms that don’t have any to hopefully help with air flow throughout the entire house. We have 3 returns, one on main level, one in hallway/foyer ceiling and one in the main bedroom.

    Good morning Delaware + Friends.:pccoffee:

Sounds like you've evaluated quite a bit Eric.

Our house/home was built in 1999 and the HVAC unit was at a danger point according to the tech back in 2018.

Not even 20 years old and it needed replacing.

I hope things move along well for you and your family Eric.

    Morning neighbors.

Thanks and that sucks to hear. While I’ve evaluated, I’ve not taken a math approach to make sure. I’m of the understanding that there is really no downside to extra returns…
