    I found this when taking off the skid plate. I assume it came from the engine bay.

    Hard plastic?
    The shape of it leads me to believe that it held two pipes (heater hoses) or two harnesses close to each other. The fact that you found one piece of it also leads me to believe that it's also broken.

    That looks like the plastic clip on the fan shroud that holds the transmission cooler hoses.

    I can almost garentee that is that transmission cooler hose clip that keeps the hoses away from the fan.
