This model is a Tamiya TA-08 Pro. I've never owned a Losi or Traxxas. I've always been a Tamiya nut, and I like Associated RC10s from back in the day. And yeah the changes are crazy. I had to learn a lot of stuff since getting back into it. The controllers are insane what they do now. And batteries are so long it's like after 20 or 30 minutes, I'm good lol I don't need to drive for an hour.

 

Seriously when I smell these trees, I almost barf. Thankfully I have not encountered them in FL or NC.

 

True. I admit, consumables are more expensive at Target but the overall experience I guess makes it better or worth it and I am not making 2 stops. I hate errands. HATE. But I also hate using Amazon b/c of their overt monopoly on retail.

I also will frequent stores that sell Mrs Meyers. I am a fucking Mrs Meyers whore. LOL The scents are so good. SO GOOD. I am getting old.

I mean I'll concede drivers are worse now more than ever and I've been driving for a long time. But I have been places where people still drive normal. I was in Denver 2 years ago, and it was incredible. People were respectful, nobody was driving cagey, everyone was chill. Maybe it was the pot. Then again, I expected everyone to be stoned and everyone I met was fucking NICE. I really enjoyed Denver more than I expected. I've been to 43 states now so I think I have a pretty good grasp on the drivers. I know what the worst has been for me and what's been the best.

 

Yep, had an RC10. I cleared it all after Katrina. My friend lost his stuff, so I gave him all mine at the time. That was the start years of fast electrics. Had a few boats as well. Fun times.

Some of the guys I talk to over on TamiyaClub.com - they have insane collections and I don't plan to go THERE, but I have a few grails. I just built the RC10-CC.

If you have the time and means you should get back into it. I know many people have too many hobbies. I'm in that category for sure.
