We got 3" of rain in 2 hours one evening last week. The driveway can't take it so I went down Saturday and reclaimed some of the gravel out of the neighbors yard.

This year has been crazy hasn't it? I've got mulch washed away in the back, water in the basement, etc. The gutter out front I extended with some corrugated pipe and the placement unbeknownst to me was a horrible location.

Yea, you can guess where all the mulch went there too

I now have to trench the entire front yard eventually and let it flow down the hill on the side. Might rent a trailer and borrow a friends Terrimite to get it done. Might as well replace the line going from the well to the house. Ooof :spending:

Not gonna show the area I worked in cuz it’s private but got the seed and soil spread and the sprinkler setup to get the germination going. Heres a couple pics though
Unloaded her chairs and set to work
upload_2025-7-21_5-50-43.jpgThe 2 sticks are for another couple of plant hangers I built yesterday afternoon
I basically emptied 4 bags of soil into the bucket at a time. 10 bags in total at 9.99 ea.
    upload_2025-7-21_5-52-9.jpg
Didn’t take too long I basically “broadcast” the soil as a top dressing over the seed I spread. Came out just enough with a couple bags of touch up on the edges. I coulda filled the pickup bed with topsoil from the local gravel yard but this was easier and cleaner since I only needed a little bit.
I will share a piece of marble/granite I found on my west side during a clearing project I did when we bought the property
upload_2025-7-21_5-57-6.jpgI’ve had it for a couple years and hadn’t decided what to do with it till now.
So I ordered some diamond bits for my dremel and will try my hand at engraving a flush headstone for my loyal friend I put to rest. It’s been a real hard couple days and I know I lost part of my soul with him. He was my best friend and I could atleast honor his memory. I’ll get to the engraving next weekend or so and share some pics. Have a good week friends

I pulled out some bushes a while back and seeded everything. It even started to germinate quickly, but the darn heat killed it. Right now the spots are taken over by crab grass. Whoops.

That's rough. Had my big boy cremated and when my time comes there will be strict instruction on where our ashes will be scattered. Together. Our favorite walking trail in the woods. Many Christmases, Thanksgivings and other holidays he kept me company on long hikes when everyone else was with family.

Sorry man! They're like family regardless of make and model. I like the idea of using that flat face rock for marking. It'll turn out great regardless because it'll be one of a kind.

Side note: almost $50 bucks for a lawn chair....where the heck have I been that they've gone up that high. lol

No tractor work for me for awhile. Wife and I flew to Jacksonville due to her Crohn's disease being out of control. We are currently admitted to Mayo hospital. Admitted last week Tuesday.

I am getting to watch some guys digging a big hole behind our room. Cat wheel loader is a straight up beast. May be back in Arkansas tomorrow.

On another note, my son and I went by the rock quarry a few weeks ago with my buddies dump trailer and got some rock. They had a wheel loader like that, he didn't even fill the bucket and it was 9,200 lbs of rock

I told them I wanted 4 ton, they said close enough :rofl::rofl:
