I've got group 154 again this year. Right now it's just me and Danny so I'll probably have a couple open spots.

We might smoke a case of chicken quarters Friday as well. Probably do prime rib Saturday.

Thinking about bringing the ingredients for a smoked queso and salsa. Buddy at work makes a banging smoked salsa. Could I sneak a few things in your smoker to get it done?

Yeah that's no problem. It's a pretty big smoker.

What's it gonna take to convince you?

I just started a cabbage ferment this week. First time trying it. Hopefully it'll be saurkraut in a month. Its only 1 head and only filled 2 mason jars. I have a much bigger fido jar i can use and fit like 4 heads. Would that be enough to convince you?

The air mattress I had last year was terrible. Looking at a mattress topper to go under the air mattress, any thoughts on something this?

Found a 4” one from Home Depot for $50 that I might just buy and see.

I got this one a few years ago when I hated my air mattress. I’ll never go back. It’s bulky af but makes any surface bearable.
Shows this one unavailable but plenty like it.

Thanks for sharing that. I see that one isnt available but there are some similar. I had branched out to futon mattresses too, similar to that.

I did read about that too. With October being the coldest I’d sleep, hopefully still above freezing, I was hoping it would be ok… maybe it doesn’t need to be in the 30s for those to get to hard…

fuck those things. Ok, ok, I’m sure the ones the Army had while I was in Afghanistan in 2002-03 were the lowest quality but they always fell apart. Maybe they e been upgraded and have safety features to ensure they’ll stay together.
