Good morning all. Trying to decide what to get into today.

 

Good Morning all, son coming over with his 2019 Taco and we are changing tranny fluid and spark plugs, we did PS fluid and coolant last week.

 

I have yet to do a trans flush on my taco. How hard or easy is it?
Also I've really been dragging out my spark plug change. And to be honest I'm in no mood to do it anytime soon. But the plus side since I've had the take home work truckbi haven't sat in my truck since last Friday

Morning all

 

Wasn't to hard, a bit time consuming. Here his tranny has a filter rather than a screen .
So we drained the tranny
Dropped the pan, cleaned the pan and 5 magnets
Bolted pan back up new gasket
Filled 4 qts cause that's what came out
Drove around block
Drained tranny again apx 2.75 qts
Filled 3 qts
Started up waited for proper temp then checked level .

 

Plugs took about 1 hr. Right side easy , left side a bracket or 2 had to come off. But he's set for another 60-75K miles.

 

Greetings all, been a while, but still lurking.
Posting this here to see if any one is interested, before I go site-wide. I have removed my 05, 5' ( short bed ) bed cover, and it is available to anyone who needs one. It is in used condition.
It is a Blackmax by Extang. It was not a cheap cover at the time. It is a snap-on cover so, fair warning, it is not a quick access cover. It is at about four years old and in decent shape. It has started to have two or three of the snaps pull off of the cover and stay on the rail, but there are NO holes in it. It has been water-tight the whole time. There are no tears or marks on the cover material, its just dull. It takes two to roll up the top in a neat manner, by yourself is a real pain. It is difficult to re-snap in the winter because the cold stiffens the cover material.
This is perfect for someone who wants a temporary cover until they can get one they can afford. ( save your bed bolts!!!)
I have all of the hardware; side and front rails, clamps and three cross bar supports. It is inside, out of the weather.

Good morning all. My left knee is jacked ! Can hardly bend it. Thinking I need some pain meds. It's a little swelled and a little warm. Me no like.

Little off schedule, had to get some blood drawn first thing this morning. Luckily they open up at 6am, and there's a Rutter's around the corner for my coffee fix. Only 45 minutes later than usual

 

Ooof. One of those morning's you go "what in the Hell did I do yesterday!?"

Morning. I'd say good morning but I've been without my trailer since last Thursday. I was on the west end bridge coming home. Guy cut over into the right lane, taking out my trailer then bouncing over into the Yukon Denali in front of him. Then he hit me when I got out to exchange information while I was calling the cops.he floored it and knocked me onto his hood and hit me two more time as he sped away. Legs (shins) still hurt some and have swollen bumps and cuts but I'll be ok. Kinda hard to pay bills and rent when I can't work without my trailer. Fender and fender mounting brackets that's welded onto the trailer is crushed in, lights smashed, front left wheel bent, front left tire is slashed and flat front axle is bent, leftside suspension is broken, not sure how bad the right side is yet. Spare tire on left side (wheel and mounting bracket are bent), custom trim rings for the wheels are bent. Not sure yet if the lower frame rail is bent in. Waiting to hear back from my insurance adjuster to come check it out. Need to go down to zone 1 and get the police report.

 

Man I hate people. Sorry you're going through this. Did they ever catch the asshat that did this?
