I was hiding behind a skid plate and he was hiding behind the door he had off a car he was caging. Both axles took roughly the same amount of force. We tried his HF 20ton first. Shy of forgetting to put ear protection on once at the range, ive never heard a sound that loud.

Been wanting to replace the lights and wiring harness on my utility trailer. I keep reading reviews that the insulation on HF wiring isn’t very good. Anyone good or bad experiences?

I’ve been using this for years too. I mentioned I’m cheap, but they work. This set is for pipe, not tube so the cutting diameters are all just a hair larger than standard sizes. Still works for me, but it does mean that the finished dimple is less pronounced due to less material to flare. I dont use the hydro hand pump very often, it a bit clunky if you’re making a bunch of holes, but handy if your piece doesn’t fit in the press. I made a small fixture that lets me use the cutting dies in the 20t press and it’s much faster to set up for repeated holes.

I don't think HF harnesses are better or worse than what you can get at WM or AZ.

I would automatically go with hopkins but in the end its just wiring so I doubt there is much difference.

I disagree. The Hopkins harnesses are not as good of quality as the HF versions.

The cladding will crack from weather exposure because it's more stiff. The HF harnesses have thicker and more flexible shiething.

The Hopkins worked good for pushing the wire thru a conduit better than most because they were more rigid.

Any exposed part should be put in wire loom at a minimum, and I can say with confidence the HF loom has not been problem. Not in my trailer. Not in my Jeeps. Not in my Tacoma.

One of the few places I've had problems with critters. The short run from where the harness exits the trailer frame to the plug. Chewing through the loom and into the wiring harness. Hence the search for a new harness and I like the idea of LED tails. This time I'll over-wrap the loom with some sort of tape.

I wonder if one of those rodent resistance ones would help. Like this one
