    The Devcon brand is an excellent choice for your project. It come in 5 minute, 15 minute and 30 minute cure time. It works very well on a variety of materials including plastic. I fly R/C planes and the 5 minute stuff has never failed me be it on balsa wood, plastic, fiberglass or foam. Rough the surfaces to be joined for a good bond and you should be good to go.
    As for a source, almost every model shop has this two part epoxy or the store brand which will do the job just as well.

    Let Me Simplify......
    As stated previously, I used the same epoxy for both Grill Patches and Emblem
    Epoxied all Bolts in place to hold Satoshi Mesh also
    All the same Epoxy and everything is still Solid
    Any 5 minute Epoxy will glue your fingers together forever, if you let it set up for 5 minutes.

    Epoxy sucks I never mess with this stuff but it's a b$$ch .. After I was flipping out cuz I thought I was f$cking in it up .. I put my putty on and sanded it down turned out 100% ok. Thanks to all for helping me on my answers ... :)

    I didnt use primer. might have made it look a little cleaner on mine, but most of my imperfections came from my inexperience with the bondo. several coats of flat black did a decent enough job on mine.

    Hey. I was wondering if there is another name for finishing putty or what other applications it is used in?.. I went to Home Depot and showed them the picture of the putty you used and they could not locate anything similar.

    I ended up getting "BONDO professional glazing and spot putty."

    The directions for this shit says to clean area with soap and water... and to mix putty with hardener.

    Any suggestions? Thanks!

    i did somewhat of the same method but i put scrap plastic in acetone and it melts it down, when it dries it hardens back into normal plastic. It probably was harder than this method but it worked in the end. I didn't take any pics of the process but here is the finished product.

    yes, it'll work. the brand doesn't matter, the putty just covers the cut joints and allows you to sand it down and blend it in so that it looks good after you paint it. slop it on the joint, smooth it over with a metal spatula or knife, then sand after it's dry.

    yes, this is the epoxy. any 2-part 5-minute epoxy will work fine. see post 34 for the finishing putty i used, although any putty will also work fine.
