Is the landlord helping with a sublet contract? Examine it carefully to see what your obligations/liabilities are, so you know if you’re trying to sus out if someone if going to be a responsible tenant or if any warm body will do.

 

Yea but I kinda regretted getting the one bedroom. $850 just seems like a lot of money to throw away every month. I decided to take the incovenience of having a roommate and put half that towards savings or investments. Idk maybe it was a dumb idea but I’m committed now.

Yes they take care of all that, I just need tog eat the deposit from them before anything is signed, and then pay a $150 fee to get out of the lease.

Yea I can get even cheaper though- I’ll be paying $415 a month at the new place. It’s a little college town so I guess the students need cheap places to live.

 

Not to say it’s dumb, saving money is never an explicitly bad idea
But fuck id do anything to be able to rent a 1 bed for 850

It’s pretty small - only about 550 sq ft, and it’s an old building so kinda rough around the edges. But yea not too bad.

 

Keep in mind Moscow is basically a glorified what field with a few blocks in between, so you kinda whet what you pay for I guess. The university is the only reason there’s anyone here.

 

Anything did not include moving to Tucson

I have to compete with the ASU students to rent here in Tempe, most living closer to campus are paying $1200+ each for 4 people in a 4/2 house

 

Exclusively about the cost of housing lol

There must be a lot of rich kids from LA going there. I wonder how kids from low income parts of AZ hack it though.

Way more rich international students than you’d think too. First floor of the best garage was pretty much reserved for rich Chinese kids and their Ferraris and Maseratis. Not sure why they choose Arizona, but ASU is the/one of the largest universities by enrollment so
