Wanted a solution to transporting my wife's and my bikes to the bike trails in Upstate NY. No need to hook up our bike rack that uses our hitch...
    1000011133.jpg
Purchased a front bed rail (very handy to have), purchased two bike fork mounts, a little additional hardware, and done.

    1000011196.jpg

I use the bungee chords to make sure the fork stays in the holder.
Funny, my wife's bike is shorter so lot's of clearance between back tire and tailgate.
My bike on the other-hand? I think I have an inch to spare.

The throttle body is still the same size. You gain sound, not performance.

I think I saw a front wheel mount in the 3d printing thread, basically a hook that goes in the rear side utility rail and then you secure the quick release to that so you aren't trying to stash the wheels somewhere.

I thought mpg gains from removing the resonator was debunked around here, similar to the k&n filter, but can’t find any threads now that would have lead me to believe that. No skin in the game, just saying I am of the same opinion

IF the TB is the only restriction in the system at the OEM level then this statement is 100% true.

Small lift, slightly oversized tires, well...
But see, Toyota not only has to hit fuel economy numbers, they have sound levels they need to meet also. So, there's a bit of a juggling act going on. I'm not saying you're going to see drastic fuel numbers, but a small gain from not having the resonator in line really isn't unbelievable.

Tactical backpack from Enrforce. I like it!!
Put my huge tow strap and misc items in it so far. It can hold a lot more stuff too. Was considering molle panels for the seat back but think i like this better. Gonna get a 2nd one for other side and use it as a survival/bug-out backpack.20250721_173521.jpg

Check local codes, only white or amber lights are allowed in the front of a vehicle in most locations. Unless it is flashing lights on an emergency vehicle.

Just as a warning, this is like a dinner bell for thieves. I wouldn’t leave it in the car in any area you aren’t comfortable leaving your truck unlocked.

Best way to enhance the shocker is to bring a taser for the other hand.

Ok. I had a pinhole sized leak in my drivers side cv axle. So I got a new one, and gonna reboot the old one, hold it for a spare, seeing as how this is an easy fix to a pretty obvious weak point. While I was in there, pulled the needle bearing and replaced it with the ecgs bushing. When all said and done, the vibration/whhhuooph noise were gone.
However. I may have dropped the puller piece from the removal tool into my front diff. After like 30 minutes or so, contemplating my abilities as a shade tree mechanic, and not giving up, I had the piece back in my hand.
So I stuffed a rag in there, fitted that puller, yanked the bearing, tapped the new one in (soaked in ice water), and went to replace my axle seal… IMG_2754.jpg which the dealer gave me the passenger side seal. Put it all back together, using the old seal, lost a bunch of oil today, went to three part stores, got the right seal + 2 qts gear oil and ripped it all apart and put it back together. Gear oil is rough, stinks so bad.
I can say the dealershit nonsense pisses me off but I’m kinda above that. Shoulda paid more attention to the part number, instead of relying on them. Gonna spray some simple green all up in there and give it a good hose down.
Best part…IMG_2759.jpgI got Biff’s car covered in shit.

Im in the same predicament. Driver side. Can't tell exactly where the leak is, but must be small. Waiting till I get time to install my lca's and knock it all out together. Can't decide if I wanna do what you're doing with new and keep old spare, or just reboot mine with the boot slide mod. Not that I really need it bc my angles are pretty good, but plan to raise her more at some point down the road.

I thought about the boot slide too, looked at the wear pattern, and it seems fine. New cv axles aren’t cheap. So I feel like I have this piece of gold hanging out, all the extra parts I have kicking around this one is the most important.

A stick jammed in my CV boot. I found out by seeing the black sludge all over the wheel-well. Haha, highway driving after exploring will do that :D. My dealer fixed it up for about $250. Totally worth it because I would have struggled with it for days like you did.
