Leafs are cheaper and easier to install, especially on a SAS. if you have the money, then of course Coils or Coil overs.

Don't rag on him too hard, reading is over rated anyways. So supra any chance I can get some shiny leaf springs too?

Actually, I talked to them about shiny tires also. They cost $500 extra because they are 73.43" talls, but I think they can fit with some MINOR trimming.

Leafs? Sorry, we only carry gold plated.

Talk to Scotty @addicted offroad he could help you out with a deal; he quoted me a bit over 3k to do a SAS on a 93 4runner but that was front and rear I had to provide the new axle for the front and he recommended a different axle for the rear as well. That included trail gears front and rear IFS eliminator kit and rear classic lift kit with labor. Only bad part is he is really busy all the time. Bad for us I mean good for him.

Yours might be a bit more depending on the SAS kit you go with.

I've said this before and I'll say it again. Your not going to get a Sas for 3000 and have a good working truck. If that is your budget then I suggest you upgrade your ifs system and be happy with it. Too many people go on all sorts of boards and think they know what they are doing and saying and have never lifted a torch or wder in their life yet give all sorts of addvice on how to Sas a Taco and then ridicule those that have before. You ARE going to spend more than 3000 and NO ONE has a complete kit. Not even TG.

I get asked this question at least three times a week and the poor soul has been given bad I formation on top of bad information. Posses me off at times

Listen to the guys that have done it on here before. They know from experience what it costs and what it takes and they will all tell you that what ever your first budget is........ Double it and you may get close

If only people would listen to us Wyatt, it's heartbreaking :( Then when you tell them how much you spent, they laugh and go on about how stupid you are for spending that money. Some kid's, just won't learn. :D

Leafs are easier to set up. You'd have to fab some brackets but thats easy. Leafs don't require radius arms and coils do. With radius arms you need drop brackets and a way to mount the coils to the axle. Coils aren't impossible, we've done it, but they require more work.

Not really "drop brackets" at all. (I don't know much about the radius arm set up like other do that have them) However, they are similar set up how links are on a coil over. Nothing really "drops down from a bracket" , they never hang lower than the axle. Think of a giant traction bar really.

There are two different types for coils. Coils with radius arms, and COILOVERS, with links. 3 or 4 link. Whatever you may prefer.

That was a pretty informative post that contributed almost...wait, absolutely ZERO signs of any progress you have done.
