    Hello Tacoma World,
I am new to this forum and also a new Tacoma owner. I just bought a 2011 Tacoma PreRunner Double Cab Sport. For some strange reason the Toyota dealer in my area no longer sells the chrome tube steps. I deffinitely need tube steps as I have a 5 year old. Does anyone have a white Tacoma with black tube steps? If so, would you be able to post a picture so I can see what it looks like. To others, have you ever seen one? If so, how does it look?
    Thanks in advance.

In my experience. Make custom ones. price is not high and really can be created just as you like them.

Mine came with chrome step rails, If you were close enough I would say I would trade with you, I kinda want black ones. My dealer told me that they went after the little extra's from their distributer that the other dealers didn't. :notsure: I mean how many Toyota distributers are there?

Even if you just need the step, many custom sliders are about the same price as the stock tube steps, but if you do go off road, custom sliders will protect your truck where as the typical stock step tubes will damage your truck if it gets crushed into the lower body areas. Happens all the time.

According to my dealer's parts department: Only black step tubes are available from the factory. They look great on white.

Those look pretty good on the truck. I have a 2010 White Dbl Cab Long bed as well. I just ordered some from the dealers. Was able to get them for $365 thanks to asking them if they would match the price of:
    http://www.toyota-parts.com/scripts/prodView.asp?idproduct=-210&cart=y

Ive been looking for steps for a while. Contiplated the Sliders but didnt want all the extra weight and didnt need the extra strength. Also though the sliders work well as a step, they are higher. I needed a step a bit lower to make it easier for others to hop into the truck.
