Just went out and looked and you're right, it does have them. Mine are just below/inside the chassis for whatever reason

Now we just need a 1/24 ifs kit. The body looks great, but it seems a bit goofy with what look like 60" tires.

Smaller tires would definitely look better.

    It's the Tamiya body set:
    https://www.ebay.com/itm/1772305160...chCaLxOdQAW0EbONGXmP6Ivzg=|tkp:Bk9SR8LJ6-OBZg

You can find it in various forms, with the box, or without, just the shell, no stickers, etc. The seller I bought from shipped fast, but he shipped it in the retail Tamiya box, lol - no protection - it did arrive OK, but still, wacky. It's still being made so it shouldn't be hard to find in retail packaging.

I like that body! What's the wheelbase on that Tamiya?

257mm, the kit the body is from is 251, but the holes line up nicely. Full send.

Seeing this reminded me of a Tamiya catalogue I bought way back when. Looked through it over and over trying to figure out how I was going to afford a $500 rc car at 12 years old making around $70 a month delivering papers, lol.

Bro we lived the same life. You talking about papers and RC. I lived that life. I have that book too still to this day. I have the previous year as well with the original Wild Willy in it. Me and my buddy Ryan both had routes. I think like 50-60 daily and 70 Sundays. We'd ride our BMX bikes and do our routes, a lot of times we'd double up and help each other to get done faster. What a life eh? I miss those times so much.

But I think I was making like $60 a week. So buying Haro bike parts and RC stuff was always a game!

Sounds very familiar, lol. I was trying to upgrade my Diamondback and it didn't get much on my budget. I'm sure the guys at the hobby shop got sick of me and my friends hanging around knowing we had no money to buy stuff. If it wasn't for my dad letting me keep the money from the sale of the dirt bike I had out grown I probably never would have picked one up. Still have that Tamiya Frog.

Around 20 years ago I was sitting around the fire with my wife's friend's husband. Just talking about the old days and realized we both had rc cars. He said that we should get back into it. And now that we have jobs we could actually get good ones, lol. Both ended up with T maxx' s, then Savages.

That's probably the same for us, we would go to our local hobby shop and look up at the cars behind the counter and gaze....hahaha seeing the boxes of the RC10 and the Tamiyas was like being in a pr0n shop.

I got back in in 2017 with a BRAT. I always wanted a BRAT when I was a kid after watching Manhattan Project.

My modest showroom on TamiyaClub: JeffSpicoli's Showroom - Tamiya RC & Radio Control Cars

I've got a Frog and a BRAT now.
