I have not had any time to work on the updated design. Work has been quite busy at the moment, but I can make you the older version that foothill96tacoma and I have. Otherwise hang tight ill post on here when I've got it done.

No problem. I’ll wait until you’ve got the design where you want it

I'm in when you have the time - this is awesome.

Can you post a pic of your finished setup if it has changed from the initial pics.

Ok Yall bullied me enough to procrastinate at work and make this thing. The whole printing a part around another makes the support structure a little rough, but seems like my threads are good and this first prototype will do the trick. I will tweak the way it sits in the printer and maybe I can get a cleaner print. Currently my wolfbox is out of my truck because of some other project I am working on, so Im going to send this to @foothill96tacoma for a fitment check.

Hi all, I had the chance to install the latest prototype from @biggestchungus last night. It's very nice and feels quite secure with the screw / ball joint addition. We'll see how things go when I start riding over rougher terrain.:)

This is great! Do the shades still clear? I had to change the position slightly from the first version.

Shades still clear. It seems that I needed to retract the front camera arm a wee bit, but no big deal.

I withheld from purchasing the unit due to funds. But I have this thread bookmarked for when I do.

Would love one of these for a G900 Tripro, the 12 inch size mirror! Too wide to clear the sunvisors, but it'd be great to have something more solid than the rubber straps and get the mirror backed up an inch or two instead of strapping it to the stock mirror.

why have the ball/screw at all?

I fabricated a solid mount since the video screen position does not need to be adjusted for visibility - that would give you a "serious offroader" spec option

Personally speaking, I would always want the option to adjust the monitor position to my preference, even if I don't need to adjust for reflection. I'd also want it to give (not break) if I accidentally smack it somehow.

Yall be too picky. The ball is because we are not all the same height and will want the thing at different angles. Im pretty happy with my 1st prototype that is superglued in position, but my location wont work for everyone. If you want a serious mount spend the $150 for a metal one. 3D printing has its limitations for strength. The intention for this was to create a affordable version that was good enough.

I will make one but I need precise dimensions. Someone said they would get them for me but never responded after I sent them all the dimensions I need. If you wanna take it on I will send you the sheet.

sorry man, not trying to throw shade, just that if you have a neat (resin?) 3D printer to bust these out you could easily make a fixed version in addition to your swivel offering that bridges the gap a little further

Hahaha no worries. I can make a fixed mount based on what I like but I'm on the shorter side so you may not like it. I do question the ability of a #8-32 screw and heilacoil in plastic to hold up to some of the violent things you serious guys do to your trucks. The OEM one is made of metal, but if you want one i'll make one for you.
