I am in between these two Tacoma's. There both half cabs. I have been hearing it is expensive to mod a 4wd. And is there really any big difference.

By 'half cab' you mean Access Cab?

Year models of both examples you are considering?

Expenses for modifications are totally owner controlled. Depending on what you expect from the vehicle, a 4wd *might* cost more for certain things, but then again it will do more than a 2wd.

So. The big deciding factor is do you need 4wd?

A little skimpy on information. Why do you want a truck? What ya going to use it for? Do you need 4wd? You don’t have a truck yet and you are already concerned about mods. What mods do you want to do? I assume they are for looks not function. If you don’t use or need 4wd don’t get 4wd. Give us more info.

    Snow and a 4x4, probably a good choice:thumbsup:
Make sure to get some good all terrains if it came with street tires.
Also welcome to the forum man!

This makes no sense. You already have the truck, why are you asking what truck you should get???? What is your question?

Well Hayden, until you are willing to share more details about what is going on, no one here is going to be able to offer good suggestions.

I went with the SR 2wd access cab 4 cynider because 90% of the time I would not need anything more. besides there are very few places I can't go that only a 4wd could

the set up I have is the equivalent an urban wheel-barrow carries modest amount of stuff with some power
