though i did get an email this morning that the exhaust I ordered actually won't be shipping out anytime soon. So now I'm seeing if they'll give me a discount on the titanium version since it's been almost a month since I ordered with no updates until 2AM this morning after I reached out to PayPal. Fingers crossed lol

atm im looking at getting somethings for my little klx that ive wanted to do for awhile!

prob gonna pick up a fat bar, graphics kit maybe? maybe exhaust? idk yet imma have some fun with it and enjoy it.

Probably one of the reasons they are having such big money problems. Too many options makes things a lot more costly.

 

Lol yeah here's hoping. Cuz the titanium one is typically like $1500 more and I'm not paying that lol. Though I have a friend who can get me a discount on one in the states if I have to get a refund from the first company.

oh i love the little klx! it climbs up hills and such with ease! its so much fun buuut i will say for ridding on the street its just not great haha. but that has to do with the lower gears and god awful seat! other then that i love it!

i was interested in going to a kx450x because i saw a new one with a killer deal! at 5500 price and i called and asked hey whats the otd on that!? oh its 7800! excuse me what!

Since we were talking about the new drz4s I actually got to see one today. Went to a dealer to get a fat bar for the klx (sadly none there!)

Big thing is the bike does look nice the headlight is a meh? The weight felt the same as the last drz but maybe more towards the top of the bike? The bike was a lot thinner then the last gen or at least it felt like it to me. The bike also feels taller? It was right next to a husky 701 adventure and the husky was shorter?? The big thing I noticed was the seat! Oddly enough it was redone to be a lot better so for a stock seat it felt pretty dang good for a dual sport.

Otd was 10,100 so not bad but still way to much for what it was. I did talk to the techs and a buddy who use to own a drz for many years and he got to ride one. He says the bike feels a lot better then the old drz ridding around it's not a power house but it feels better and snappier then the old gen. He said it's not good enough to spend 10k on thou he said 8k maybe but unsure since he is pretty happy with his beta.


Annnnd then we went and ogled at the beta 350 dual sport... It's on sale and I don't need...

Do y'all not have tax/title/licensing/doc fee/assembly/anything out there? The fuck how are you getting an OTD price $500 over on a $9600 bike. Is a brand new bike already getting discounted?

 

Most people leave taxes off the OTD price when posting on the internet because the taxes aren't relevant outside the area of purchase. Most people want the OTD to compare to the deal they are getting, so location specific variables are best excluded.

I'd also get a t7 if they ever get around to making a slightly upgraded trim that has cruise.

 

An ST 2.0 would be great, but too many people are afraid of the curb weight on them. BMW gets away with it because they have all the bells and whistles that attract the folks with money to burn, but a more basic bike with a shaft drive just doesn't sell. Buyers are too stupid and focused too much on the numbers on a spec sheet, so the lost power of the shaft and the added weight make them go elsewhere.

I'd be thrilled if they did a 1000cc shaft drive and could keep it under 500 lbs without breaking $15K in pricing, but they won't. If they made the bike it'd probably be $18K MSRP and go up from there if you wanted any options. Inflation is a bitch when you aren't getting raises.

Hmm not me. OTD includes any associated taxes & fees. But yes you need to know the % to make a relative comparison

 

Always excluded for me, because I pay the taxes separately when I license it.

 

Rode last 2 days. Next week heat wave and only 30% chance of rain so they say.
Talked to the number 3 guy over the plant and asked him about a carport for the motorcycle parking. He is going to see what he can do.
Yesterday we had 5 bikes and 6 on Wednesday. So hopefully we can get them covered.

no its not getting discounted... it heavily depends on the dealer. as stated when i looked at that kx450x that was in kansas it had a lot of hidden frees on the bike... now it also heavily depends on ks and mo. we do things differently even thou we are right next to each other.

you are also wrong about the price...the bike is 8,999 msrp not 9600.. neither of the bikes are listed by suzuki at 9600 msrp.

now i do know if i went to the dealer next to my work id prob pay 11k for the same bike that i saw at the other dealer because they looove to add any and all fees on top to bring the price up.

but id also like to point out for title and licensing that is done at the dmv when you register it. that is not done at the dealer, now you can have them add it to your loan at the dealer but a lot of people out here do not do that because its dumb...

unsure i asked what it was otd if i wanted it right now and was told the number. i asked if they had any hidden fees or anything associated with the bike and the sales guy asked me why would i do that? its already a bit over on msrp.

we do have them all but as stated some is done at the dmv some is done at the dealer. not sure how ks does it since well i dont live there lol.

the other big thing is some dealers do not charge you the crazy bs that others do the price for the bike is the price for the bike.
