I have to rant this morning.

    Dyson Animal...
Here's my frustrations with this piece of shit.
Wife wanted to get it because we have 2 dogs. We used some of our wedding money and bought 1.
Had to take it back because the rollers wouldn't spin... (oh they had a recall)
Got this new one, same model.
    I fucking hate it.
    Here is why:

-When using the hose you have to take ALL of the cord off so you can pull the hose out...WTF?

-The hose is so tight you have to exert all of your energy to keep it out so you can vaccum...Why?

-If you are vaccuming a hard surface, the hose pulls the vaccum to you so the vaccum is right up against you as you're fighting to vaccum the floor.

-The piece of shit weights 54723450345609238457256234034121 pounds.

-As you are trying to wrap the cord up with some tension to keep it tight, the top cord holder thingy turns causing all of the cord to fall back off again.

I had to vent. But the house is clean ready for my family to come today.

    That is all.

Anyone else have issues? Please share below.

I have a Dyson DC07 All Floors and love it. There are definitely some quirks with Dyon as there are with all vacuums. Some tricks I learned in the 5 years I've owned my Dyson is when using the hose.

The Hose is a telescopic recoil hose; sometimes the hose gets twisted although you don't really notice. This makes the hose hard to extend and recoil. I twist to align the hose when I put it back. This makes it more flexible and easier to extend.

No answer on having to undo the pwer cord to use the hose...agred this is a bad design.

Turn your vacuum swideways when vacuuming hard floors. This will keep the vaccum from rolling towards you when using the hose.

All in all I love my Dyson, it does weigh a lot, but I think it's more sturdy than the prevous vacuums I've had (Dirt Devil, Eureka, and a Kenmore) When this Dyson kicks the bucket, I have no reservation getting another. If yo want a lighter Dyson, you should of bought one of the Ball technology ones; they are light, but their dirt bins are small...yet another quirk.

Our Dyson has been the best vacuum we have ever owned. We have not experienced your fustration however there was a minimal learning curve to get over when we first started using it.

The one thing I hate about my Dyson...... magenta? Of all the colors??!

my mom has the regular dyson and its lasted about 3 or 4 years so far, the reason she got it was cause we kept going through vacuums like they were disposable...although using the hose is a bad design i think its worth it

It does suck well and pick up yellow lab hair, but I still hate some of the designs.

Bought a Dyson DC28 Animal a few months ago.

Yes, the hose pulls the vacuum towards you when using the wand, but This thing sucks so much dog hair and dust out of our carpets, I will take the minor inconvenience of the wand issue any day. Expensive, but worth it.

Yeah...Not the greatest of designs for the cord and the hose but not nearly bad enuf to out weight how well it cleans.
With a kid, two dogs, and 4 birds-It gets used regularly even with all hard wood floors in the house. Does amazing things for the furniture.
