The folks at Michael's are wayyyy too questiony. Like bitch lemme buy my sus items... If I wanted to get into it I'd have come in wearing the suit.

 

They allow a larger item selection to get a MIL discount than a teacher's discount so take it for what it's worth

 

But was it the older lady who's just being obliviously friendly or was it the younger lady who's definitely on to you?

 

Perhaps they are more understanding at Hobby Lobby??

 

I wasn't in the military though however I can get a teacher's discount cuz I have College employee credentials.

Younger dude that was definitely onto me. To be fair I think a lot of people go there for that in my age range at least compared to other age ranges

 

Last time I went to the JoAnn here the (older) lady I talked to was just stoked to see a guy with any interest in sewing. I think I was just buying sewing machine needles and thread, nothing remotely sus. I wonder how many people here have shopping lists like yours--I'd guess a fair number.

I don't actually know much about sewing machines. Mine's an old Kenmore that was made in "Western Germany". Looks like this. Very brown.

yea im always amazed at how chatty the micheals cashiers are compared to most retail workers. i guess the store here is pretty slow so they have more energy for it

 

those drops are clean compared to shit i see in the yards around here, shit gets dumped in the mud and snow and they still charge that lol

Sometimes I buy pipe from the parts house to become a looking like it’s pre-used because they store all the steel pipe outside

 

Damn, this house caught fire on the second story back in December, apparently a plumbing company was doing work and accidentally messed with some wiring in the walls and started the fire. Fire dept came and doused it pretty quick but looks like they are gutting it to repair the damage
