took my friend and his son pondin yesterday.He is a Lt. in the army, and hasnt fished in a year or two, it was tuff as they were drawing water out of the ponds pretty heavily, and a bright sunny day to boot...

Silvers? Yes mostly and shallow. They were liking a small yellow flasher, 1 ounce banana and cut plug. Of course that was on my son’s short handle bass rod, Zebco and lite line! The pinks on my daughter “Barbie” rod!! Pink hoochie rigged on a small pink silver fox spinner. Also lite line and a chinesium zebco knockoff. Can’t make this stuff up!

not to give unsolicited info but just an idea/product that I really think is slick…

with the like original super baits and even cut plugs, my brother and I have gone to a tubing setup. VIP outdoors sells it, we seemed to have a solid hook to landing ratio this past fall..

Got to the river a bit late. Caught this one on my third cast, but nothing else was biting. Trying to decide if I want to put him in the oven or fry him on the griddle.

Been a while since I've been out. The pond had a couple of decent offerings. Made it worth while.

Looks like a lunker in the making. That's a healthy tail, just like a big dog pups paws are.

 

It's been a few years since I hooked one of these. Got into a school of them yesterday. Hit one on about every third cast. Largest was maybe 14"
