High today is only expected to be 82 but it feels worse than that.

 

Anyone in the Hatboro PA area...Saturday is Moonlight Memories Car show from 5 PM to 9PM. York Road through Hatboro is shutdown so the cars are lined up on the street.

My friend Chris lives near there. Not sure if he'll be attending but he inherited his father's MGTD with a Judson supercharger and an MGB that's nicely done as well. Look for them.

 

Ya know... and not to put a damper on it... I've always wondered if the new units are really more efficient. I mean, that's the sales pitch they've used since inventing furnaces. Some guy living in a cave probably said to somebody else, "If you use this other kind of kindling it will be more efficient." and that has stuck with us since pre-history as a sales pitch to sell furnaces. Does anyone really KNOW that one furnace is more efficient than another one? Does anyone test their new furnace to see if it's using less fuel to get the same amount of warmth in a room when the outside temps are the same as the old furnace was doing fine at? Just wondering...

 

Gonna have a car show here this weekend. I think I'll check it out today after noon or so and then maybe tomorrow too.

 

Morning all:

Finished up string trimming this morning, only took about 20 minutes and most of it was in the shade, but it was starting to get hot.

Saw yesterday where they may change the spouts on gas cans back to the old style, if so, it's about time! Which reminds me, I need to transfer gas from one of those new latest and greatest POS 5gal. cans to one of my old style cans!

 

We have a smaller 2 ton replacement. ac was on for a month straight non stop. Electris went up about a buck extra a day. I’m good with that b

 

I have all my firearms. In a safe and on the cheap. Under a grand all told. Two shotguns. Field and home. Plus the safe. One of the guns was a steal at 400 bucks.

@Tacogent, you're outside air temperature has the OAT here in Maryland beat by 10°, but our humidity is sitting at 48%. Not comfortable; especially given our A/C croaked this week.

I miss the dry humidity !!! , I used to live in the High Desert of Socal 117 plus temps never bothered me !!! . The humidity here in Tennessee is just nasty

 

Could be worse. It’s just as nasty in Connecticut.

 

OMG, that would be so great! I'd like to hang the @^#%#$ who came up with the idea of those newer spouts
