damn some pricey bikes!

 

Went across town to see if a dealer/shop had any front brake levers in stock which I knew was going to be a fail, and it was. Did see Something that caught me eye though. A Kawasaki Z-H2. Not my style of bike, but definitely liked the green trellis frame.

 

Former coworker here had one of those for a while. He loved it but admitted it scared him a little. Apparently the ECUs in those are somewhat restricted in that 100% throttle is really only around 70% of what's actually there. He talked about having his reflashed to open it up. I offered to go halfs with his wife on a bigger life insurance policy on him. He traded it in later on a Can Am Spyder.

Camshaft issue was blown out of proportion. Im newer to bikes and never had a background with KTM so i did about the most unbiased search possible to confirm issues. The issues have since been correct anyways. Mine comes in Orange so huge plus....

Performance wise its not even close lol.

 

My buddy had the camshaft issue. luckily it was all covered by KTM. His bike is only 2 or 3 years old. the 890 adv r.

Its too damn hot to ride. I havent been out in a few weeks because its 90+ and 90% humidity

 

Yep thats exactly how it sounds. Idk how you could dilike its a blast to ride and power is nuts.Its like a Sportbike engine on a dirtbike frame.

3 years would make it the old model that had more issues. From what i gathered, its a high performance machine so the people who changed the oil as such and not like a grocery getter had no issues. Not excusing issues but it makes sense.

 

Dude same. Im gonna zip around this weekend just to keep battery topped off but damn its hot.

 

haha thats fair! its been the same for us but we have gotten a lot of rain and its cooled it out a lot!

he liked his t7 more. when i drove the 890 it had good power but it wasnt anything wild. but i was also comparing it to my tracer that i use to have.

 

we get rain, and then more humidity. I hope to ride on Wed for a little bit. Plus its my birthday. And then Im waiting until August

 

Well decided not to go test ride the hornet 750 today. Had it scheduled for 10:30.
I was thinking about it and I am not ready to buy yet. What happens if I love the bike? Then that will be all I can think about and next thing you know I buy a brand new bike.
Going to do the smart thing and wait until they pop up used. I am really surprised I have been able to hold out this long. lol

 

ya the humidity has been bad but if its cooler out ill take it! also happy early birthday man.
