What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Got my Prinsu rack installed today. Tomorrow I will make some brackets to mount one on my topper.
Hardest part will be running power to the bed rack for my camp lighting and chase lights.

Sound skin are just a smoosh and press thing. With all the precut pieces it makes it very easy. A lot of people say boo to that but it does make a difference. I also found a restock item on the sound skins website that was just a blank roll, no cuts. Put that one on the back wall.

 

Did you flip the bulb?

 

I took out to inspect the original because it was working last night and put back the same way, it's on door position doors open even the front interior light switch is set to door, rear is not on, but I noticed last night that it came on with key fob when I clicked fob, is it due to the sensor on dash???

 

I doubt that’s the sensor on the dash. Are the buttons fully slid over? I think the rear has 3 positions but it feels like just 2.

 

Just noticed it wasn't fully seated, much appreciated, the switch is 2 position by the lens diagram, door or on, yeah kinda feels like 3, thanks for your help, much appreciated

 

I still deciding what bed liner to get. Some seem too rubbery to me. A buddy has one that is real rubbery (don’t recall the brand), yeah stuff doesn’t slide around but you gotta lift stuff in and really can’t shove it to the back. Instead you gotta lift it in. The Weathertech Impact liner looks nice, doesn’t look too rubbery and firm enough to shove stuff around without having to lift everything in place. For me, bed protection is more important than slide prevention. Any suggestions from y’all ?

 

Finally installed my Rok Block tailgate seal I bought over the winter. Really glad I updated my tailgate panel to the thin and great fitting Snailarmor panel. Roc block installed flat and easy.

Awesome, thanks. I’m going to skip the sub for now. I get a lot of road noise and my hearing seem to like to focus on that, so hoping some sound deadening will help.

 

Swapped rear bumper today. Went from Classic CBI bumper.

 

Anyone have insight on wheel locks? Im not liking the stock key that toyota gives, looking for spi

Do you live in a place where theft of wheels happens a lot, you know seeing vehicles on block missing their wheels?? If not get ride of the wheel locks, I can't remember the last time I saw a vehicle on blocks, but I have seen wheels get damaged due to broken or lost wheel lock keys...
Wheel locks get lost, broken, can be a hassle, and most are easy (if you know what you are doing) to remove anyway, a wheel thief will be able to steal your wheels if they really want them with wheel locks on them... Wheel locks are like locking the doors on a convertible, they just slow down the process a little...

And if you don't do your own rotates and brake work, mechanics hate them most of the time...

 

Friggin wheel locks...years ago I was driving a buddies 1st year 1st gen to deliver a motorcycle engine for him to a guy in Delaware. Tire blew out when I was almost to the destination, which was exciting. Then I had to find all the tire changing stuff. Then the wheel lock key. Then the face of the wheel lock just crumbled off. Yay. Luckily the guy I was delivering to was able to come out in his work truck, which had a full size oxy/acetylene torch set up on board, so he just burned the wheel lock and stud right the heck off, I gave him the engine on the side of the road, and drove home on the spare. I bet that truck still has 5 lugs on one wheel wherever it is.

My 2nd gen came with wheel locks, first thing I did was replace them with regular nuts. If somebody wants my wheels, insurance will buy me new ones.

 

Grrr, at a stop light and got rear ended tonight about 8:48 pm. I was jolted, I've had worse, what do you guys think, will I have any damage? The hitch was hit, where should I look for damage? I just looked at it, the plastic above the hitch is not even scratched. Ah, I need to look at the alignment of the bumper on left edge and right edges.



I really left an impression on the Corolla.

 

Yessir this what i be talking about. Not a fan of the out of bezel floating look. Definitely wany a flush "stock" looking radio.

 

You might be ok. Lay down and look at where the frame attaches to the hitch. Usually the hitch tries to fold down and forward which crumples the frame right in front of where the hitch mounts.
