Yeah a little too late. It’s been too crowded for 10 years.

Pro tip. Show up super early and leave by lunch and it’s ok.

Got into a little fuckery this weekend at Snake Lake. Came in the long way from Johnsville and everyone but the Jeep chickened out on doing the climb out. But that didn't keep us from folding an inner tie rod going around the boulders on the north side of the lake :censored:. Also banged up my drive shaft on the way in. Good vibes all the way home!

Sorry to hear that, but it's part of the process.
What jack and extensions do you use? Is it a kit?

Totally - just part of the adventure. The funniest part is that I'm thankful my buddy was there with his Jeep! He made quick work of getting up the climb out of Snake Lake to do a parts run to Quincy. Of course, now inner and outer tie rods are part of my spares kit like they should have been all along.

The jacks we were using - one is a Safe Jack, the other is a Chinese knock-off of a Safe Jack. I couldn't tell any real difference between the two so if I were buying one again I would just get the knock-off. A lot less scary than a high-lift, but takes a bit more doing and thinking if you need to fully droop out your suspension (having two is handy for that).

Good as new. Definitely recommend Driveline Service in Santa Rosa for any of you needing work done.

Put on the Rubicon Trail this past Monday morning with Ricardo- @Ricardo13x with his dcsb 2nd gen and Louie @lit_taco4x4 in his SAS 4Runner.

What an adventure! Lots of good lines. Lots of fuckery...
At Soup Bowl 4Runner damaged power steering hose then Ricardo damaged his winch line trying to pull 4Runner to side of trail. Fixed those things moved on to little sluice for some more fuckery. 4Runner got stuck then got winched out. Continued on with great lines then Ricardo snapped a front CV axle. Camped at Buck Island. Did some paddle boarding on the lake.

Day two was going great till 4Runner had more power steering issues and could not be fixed. It needed a new steering box. We left it on the side of the trail in big sluice.

Now it's just the IFS 2nd gen tacos! This was Ricardo's first time but he was crushing it. He is on 35s, front and rear locked with a dual transfer case eco crawler. I got to get one of those eco crawlers. Anyways things went great to Rubicon Springs where starlink was used to source a new steering box.
Louie contacted some guys and found out someone has the exact part he needed in the parts shed there at Rubicon springs. Quite amazing. Camping at Rubicon Springs is awesome! We stayed on the slabs right next to the river.
I had commitments the next day so I drove out by myself. It was quite surreal driving up Cadillac Hill solo. Trying to remember where I went the year before and hoping a big line of traffic would not be coming down. I passed one other jeep that was coming down and it was in the only spot where there's room to pull over.
Louie and Ricardo went back fixed the 4Runner and made it out late last night.

I was stoked that my truck performed well and I didn't get stuck or break anything. Good Times
