Camburg LT kit

Hi all,

Anyone have any problems with the Camburg LT kit? Particularly if using it as a daily driver (alignment issues, binding, coils rubbing, etc etc)?

Thinking I'm going to go this route, but have only one vehicle, and don't want a huge increase in upkeep (dry lubing uniballs and crap like that is okay...just worried about issues that may arise).

Iv heard nothing but good things about the camburg kit for the few people I know that have it. They daily there trucks as well.

My DD has the burg kit. Yeah, the uni-balls are as loud as heck ,but I could careless.

 

right on, thank you for the reply. i haven't heard a long travel setup that didn't squeal like all hell, but then again it's been a while. that being said, it reminds me that the suspension is doing its job!

 

^I have wheeled my tacoma pretty hard. I think it's time to replace the bushing and maybe the uni-balls... The uni-ball on the drivers side has a chunk of metal missing that might have chipped while I was jumping the truck. Haha.

 

hahaha nice. chunk o' metal missing might be the right time to replace the uniball

this'll be my daily driver, but i live where they salt the roads in the winter (f snow), so I'll probably be replacing my uniballs faster than you just due to rust, even if teflon lubed all the time. that part i'm not looking forward to. just hoping no other issues arise if i drive it mainly as just a daily thing on roads and the freeway. that's my biggest worry (i expect things to break if i romp too hard).

 

i think the majority of LT people on this site use their truck for DD and playing in the dirt. i do

having a LT DD truck isn't bad, gas sucks though... i just put on some lift spindles and the truck is much wider now and handles alot different, gonna tak a little getting used to. the taco bell drive through is gonna be kinda tricky now...haha

 

I have the LT for a 1st gen and I love it. I think my on road handling is actually better due to the width. Camburg is top notch so you should not have any binding or coil rubbing reguardless of wether you DD or not. Things like uniballs and heims will wear out faster than ball joints and stock lower rubber bushings but the increase in strength is well worth it. Most people that use a bolt on kit are DD's though you will be fine

 

I can imagine. I am already hopping curbs I never had to before. The first time I parked with the LT in a parking lot I missed the space not by inches but by about half the width of my truck lol

 

awesome guys, thanks for the input. glad to hear from some folks that use their LT trucks as daily drivers. this helps calm my worries a lot actually.

as for the parking thing...yeah haha i am actually worried about the tiny ass spots in my apartment complex (assigned, and it's a tight fit as is). work is no problem, but this damn parking garage...
