Noooooo. I quit today if that was the case. I’m pretty loaded, but I know there’s help coming and it’s just one more equipment lifecycle that’s starting now… it’s a goal, not a requirement.

That’s good shit. I’m really unsure how to navigate this all after I retire from the army. I’ll surely still need to work

 

One of my coworkers is a retired Army 30 years. She had a disability, but it went to 100%. She is a manager for one of the segments. Her pay is her “fun” money. Her husband works too, so they doing well. A lot of what she talks about is just navigating the system to get what she wanted. I know she lived on base for a good while. (Apparently as long as space available, you can as a retiree.) I’m sure there’s other benefits… bases in Arizona or Japan with space?

 

moving to Arizona would be easier. More jobs too.

Japan would require a 6 month wait and then I’d have to find a U.S. Miliary civilian job.
