Hello all! I’ve had a 2015 and 2019 Tundra and then recently traded a 2022 Bronco for a ‘25 Off-road Premium Hybrid Tacoma.

Welcome! I almost bought a Bronco but went with the Tacoma instead.

I did love the Bronco, but it had its quirks… Amazingly capable off road! I might miss some of that… But the Taco is slightly roomier and much more comfortable. Sound system is loads better! Although people pick on the JBL system here a lot. Seems just as powerful as the twin turbo V6 in the Bronco. Wish I could’ve gotten the long bed with the hybrid… oh well. I’m 6’2” and built a platform to sleep in the back of the Bronco. Might not be so easy with the Taco.

I really missed having a truck though. Having to hook up a utility trailer to haul things around was a PITA. And once I started thinking about a truck again, all the little annoyances with the Bronco got magnified! :D

Im really looking forward to modding the Taco and making it my own.

The one I was looking at was the 2.3 I4 - which just seemed like such a small engine for that thing.

The 2.3L wasn’t bad with the single turbo. After test driving both, unless you had to have a manual, I don’t know why anyone wouldn’t get the twin turbo V6.

I’d like to improve the suspension and maybe the wheels and definitely the tires. However, I’m absolutely overwhelmed at the options.
