Meanwhile the FJ40 just stuffed the fuel tank under the seat, no skid plate needed

Anyone know if a rear tube bumper like this exist, but with swing outs? The HC rear bumpers I've found so far seem very heavy (I realise it needs to be relatively heavy to support the swing outs).

^Warfab at one point did it as a customization. I don't know if they still offer customization.

You can just add swing outs to any bumper you like

Yeah, I did think about that. I think Jordan did that... I just don't trust my recently acquired welding 'skills' just yet.
But I might just get a tube bumper and worry about the swing outs later.

    ummm .....ya.
I cant help but think that this is a reach for me this year...not completely ruling it out tho.
Im scared to death to enter that place on a weekend...for obvious reasons. Retards and unlicensed kids run amuck with hp that is beyond there capabilities....but I digress.
I would like to do rocks and Valleys again...that place was a buzz as was Holly Oaks. Those can be quick weekend trips...the dunes are a strech for me...but not impossible...let me sit on this.

Today I got the truck on the ground, need to lower a bit more, right now the axles are a bit angled still, I want them flat - just a matter of loosening torsion anchor bolt and taking some measurements. Back is going to sag 2-3” after I fill up with fuel, add all the interior, third row seats etc… should be low to the ground.

Then I tried to close my hood, to find out my air box ended up being too tall to align with intake and be able to close the hood flush :bananadead:

oh well, :sawzall: I’ve got some left over material (alupanels) from the wedge camper build which will be used to build the bottom section of the box.

and flush, can close the hood again! :kona:

What a great build. It's looking awesome and can't wait when we're both on the trails again.

Speaking of trails, don't expect to get gas or firewood at the Ardbeg Loggers Station, locked up tight, currently for sale.

Still enough space to park to air up and down.

3RZ 4Runner ran like a champ!! 13L/100kms, perfect temps and pressures, lunch box locker and fresh Toyo MTs let me travel in 2WD in its entirety. Some bumpers to build, and I'll be ready to play a little harder next year.
