Planning a Sally's / Pepe's run to Connecticut soon, hopefully in September. I need to try them.

Was in Chicago/Detroit/Milwaukee while going to the Midwest BMX show in February.

Went to Buddy's in Detroit w/ YouTuber Steve Lehto, it was INCREDIBLE. Then hit another legendary spot in Chicago Vito and Nicks.

Steve ordered his with the pineapple on it....hahahaah don't tell Tacoma World.

    What a trip.

The crust of Buddy's was buttery and crispy. Vito and Nicks is just next level thin crust. My suspicion is it can compete with Sally's and Pepe's but I've not had those 2 yet.

You piqued my curiosity - 6.4 and no reviews for Mt Mikes. Some rank Mark and Monicas in the 8.0s which is prob what youd call it I suppose.

I’m thinking about picking up a pizza steel but I typically cook on the rack in the oven.

I tried the Whole Foods wheat crust a few weeks ago, the crust is premade. The ingredients I cherry picked of course.

And yes I’ve had pizza with a sunny side up before, I like it. :p It drifted off center on me tho.

...if you make it homemade, bake the dough over half way first of the way first, before putting any sauce or toppings on it. ...I load the heck out of it and it comes out great every time, though I wish I could get the crust slightly thinner.....

My go to style is tavern style. The thinner the better. The only exception I make, is Buddy's Detroit Style. I don't do pan. Ever. Fuck pan pizza, that's lasagana.

My top 5 in the country right now:

    1. Vito and Nick's - Chicago
    2. Zaffiro's - Milwaukee
    3. The Nona Slice House - Clearwater

Leaving open for Sally's and Pepe's - though this top 5 could shuffle after I try Sally's and Pepe's.
    4.
    5.

I also maintain a top 5 burger list and top 5 meatball sandwich list.... :)

Not a fan either. Charcoal or go home for regular grilling. And no matchlight bullshit charcoal. REGULAR CHARCOAL.

For pizza, coal fired or woodfired.
