just a quick update. Went to Sumin Auto today to get the wheels balanced. Next step is to try to drive it at highway speeds to make sure it can do the hours on the highway to get to the trails. the truck is not to comfortable but what else can one expect when you have 4 leaf springs for a suspension:).
its getting close to a shake down run:turtleride:

Wedding that I have to attend on that day.

found out yesterday after a short drive on the highway
    -no cruze control clockspring needed
    -no horn clockspring needed
-my rear sway bar link came off repaired
-vibration at 80km and up even after the wheels have been balanced ???
-i dont like my steering shaft I'll have to change it as currently it has 2 rag joints not sure if thats a bad thing ???

on the good side: no death wobble and steering wheel dose not shake:)

so still some work to do also have to track down why my brake pedal is not as firm as should be. Brakes had a complete flush and bleed twice now. still the same
but if i give the pedal a 1/4 press, let go and press again its right at the top and firm. master cylinder needed

yep still some bugs to work out

What did you do for braking system? Just the stock booster and one ton master?

slowly getting there though! Compared to a couple weeks ago this is a big step! Big congrats

my truck never had a booster, it had a electronic thing. I did the tundra booster and gm master cylinder.
thank you for the congrats, I've been driving it today, still some work to do but its city derivable. When i went to Sumin to get the tires balances he made a video which he said he'll post on u tube. when he dose I'll post the link in the thread.

where did you source the tundra booster? I have been trying to find one but the new ones with the master are crazy expensive and having a hard time finding a used one.

looking forward to seeing the video!

The tundra booster I got from standard auto wreckers. They wanted 160 t told them I'm a senior citizen can I have it for 130. They said yes. :)

so hear is a pic of what i came up with for a limiting strap to save the front driveshaft and another of where i put the parking brake valve. Valve works excellent btw. I took the goofy sticker off the dash. It was too big.

it's unusable in my opinion for the wheeling we do but I'm sure we can find something to try it out on when it finally gets to the trails. The whole reason for the ecocrawler was to make the front driveshaft come out on the right side. I still cant believe it was the only option for a RA60f ( the manual 6 spd) because it has a 22 spline output. The auto trans, jeep std and auto trans all have 23 spline output so lots of options with that but with a trans that has 22 spline output its the only option available if you want to run a passanger side front diff

So I had the centre u-joint with up and down play. Found out it had one needle missing and one plastic and cap insert. Flat washer thing missing. Also the centre bearing not totally seized but seized and oddly enough rubbing on the sides of the rubber. Weird. Of course, all this could have been totally avoided if I replaced everything when I replaced the u-joints at the diff end and t case end. My bad:)

A pic just for the record. This makes the 3 rd. Hanger bearing for this truck.
2 from Canadian tire anchor brand.
Now one from a parts jobber credit stone.
So far spent about 270 in hanger bearings.
Would the dealer Toyota one last longer. Maybe..

    no it was not...
it was having a steering shaft with 2 rag joints, even after changing the steering box it was still having a tight-loose action but was not as noticeable but it never changed rally.
yesterday dragged my butt down to standard auto wreckers and got whatever I could to make a steering shaft with no rag joint. have not tested it out yet but hopefully it will finally solve the steering problem. hear is a pic of my old set up, and the new shaft installed with the pieces i hobbled together from the scrap yard

hopefully you got a good one.
I'm thinking of going to a one piece driveshaft but kinda worried about the offroad aspect of it.

It’s been a while so far and no issues. One piece would eliminate some failing points but on my limo it would be bad news bears in the rocks. Already having issues with mine

I got another rim and mounted a spare tire also put my compressor and aux power back in the bed. I'm ready to try this truck out but no time for a week or two.
