Need some help here from someone smarter than me.. Doors are unlocking from fob but not from the key on each the driver and passenger doors.

Replaced door lock actuators and also the tweeters in my 09. Doors were not unlocking from the fob well (which is why I did this) and only unlocked from the key.

Actuators are not OEM but seem to be working fine and unlock via the fob***

When I got the tweeters, they sent me the wrong connectors (2 pin) and the previous stock ones fit a 6 pin that connected to the 4 pin via an adapter (or vice versa—don’t recall). I realized the door locks/windows didn’t work when I unplugged the previous tweeter connection.

So, naturally, being the forward-thinking person I am I just bought a 4 pin to the audio (pictured to the appropriate connector besides the 6 pin adapter). See below:

One other factor is that the driver side lock wire is disconnected from the lock itself. See pic:

Unfortunately, I threw the 6 pin/adapter from the original tweeter away ahead of this and can no longer test with that.

Hoping someone can point me in the right direction …

@Dm93 Whenever you get a moment, sir..

I'm not sure what the question is here?

Apologies—whether changing the pin and pin adapter from the original tweeter connection that connects other parts of the door would result in the key not opening the door.

Also, whether that broken door handle part would cause that if you’ve got any knowledge there

Here’s something more illustrative.. So 1.1/1.2 were previous state and you can see the 4 pin goes into this 6 pin at the tweeter (sounds like a lot more than a tweeter needs?). 2 is where I just nuked the 6 pin adapter and tweeter and new tweeter direct the the 4 pin.

So you can't open the door with the physical key?

Correct but handles work fine and the fob does as well for all doors.

Polar opposite of the problem I was trying to fix so solid irony

I mean that has nothing to do with the speaker wiring, need to check the linkage that goes from the key cylinder to the door latch.

I would’ve assumed as much too.

I have overlooked the other lock rod clip location in each door it seems.

    Thanks for the input!
