I was just fuckinwitchew based on the fact you mentioned “not free” a bunch of times.

But if you want to ship - I’ll take them for free. ;)

Did I see correctly that Imogene is most likely going to be closed for a long while? Was gonna do that on my trip through Colorado with my sister.

Going from SW corner of the state up to fort Co.

Think engineer pass & mosquito pass are enough to scratch the itch. Or since I’m gonna be there… do black bear and skip engineer(limited time for this segment of a big roadtrip so don’t think I’d be able to do both.

Also someone call me out if my truck isn’t setup for those: 33” AT3W’s and full RCI skids + Steel sliders. Compressor to air down but stay no lower than 16 just out of paranoia on stock wheels

Also open to suggestions for :
2-3 hour hike/tour in Mesa verde

Golf course to play near silverthorne area (was thinking keystone ranch)

sub 12 mile hike in Rocky Mountain National park (was planning Nymph,Dream,Emerald, and Haiyaha lakes route for about 6 miles)

Appreciate info. Was looking at imogene from Telluride to Ouray not just and up and down.

Saw Ophir, have heard less about it obviously and wasn't sure If It has the same "wow factor" as black bear. More googling It looks more tame than black bear?

Good suggestion on that. Looks absolutely killer and Pricing for that quality of course is reasonable.

And truck setup I'm just being overly cautious considering its solo vehicle and part of a cross country roadtrip. My dumbass did hells revenge with 2 mountain bikes and a bunch of bins in the back that started moving a bit when I had to use the throttle a bit to bump up a ledge lol... I kinda wanna do it again :) I'm too much of a bitch to do that trail without a spotter when I'm looking straight at the sky though

Looking forward to exploring colorado how I want to not just the kinda slow pace family trip I did years ago.

Thanks for info yall. Will keep lurking trail websites for status of Imogene but guessing wont be able to use it for telluride to ouray at start of september

The whole trip I'm doing with colorado as the significant ending [IMG]

Ophir is just a real narrow shelf road, just pay attention to opposing traffic, even Motorcycle's have trouble clearing trail for traffic.

I did Ophir last week, east to west. East side is pretty much just a dirt road, nothing difficult, maybe a lane and a half wide. West side of the pass was more narrow. The top was loose shale rock with some dips and stuff, but nothing terrible. I was in 4 low and first just to keep the speed down, but I was also at like 25 psi and could have aired down more. There were only 3 other jeeps that were coming up from the west. 1 was getting to the top when I was there. The other 2 waited a couple miles down so we didn't have to figure out how to get around each other on the more narrow part. Not sure if this would hit your wow factor. My truck is stock also. Haven't done Imogene or Black Bear, they look kind of intimidating and idk if that's something I would want to do. Telluride was beautiful though.

I didn't get great pictures or videos, but here are a few my wife took.

Anyone in Denver area have a spare engine oil drain plug gasket on hand - that flat blue coated washer? I’m all queued up to change the oil this afternoon, but that’s the only thing I’m missing.
I blame the person who does inventory (me).
