    Duquesne was pretty much on par with Iron City beer, maybe a little better :notsure:


    Named for the Governor General of New France in the early part of the French and Indian War.
    At the confluence of the Allegheny and Monongahela rivers (forming the Ohio river) the French built Fort Duquesne in 1754.
    The English took it in late 1758 and rebuilt it, naming it Fort Pitt.
    Now Pittsburgh, of course.
