What made the door locks via the fob work better?

 

Actuator (locks) change

 

New shock bushings. Had a horrible squeaking

 

What is this line thats dripping. And why is it KILLING my frame......

I think its an ac drain line, but i dont really use my AC and it drips like crazy

 

Probably didn’t start it but definitely not helping it

 

It has been a busy month.
I changed the differential fluid. Then hit a tree on the way back. Luckily it was very low speed.
Then I got some used replacement parts from a scrap yard. But the replacement bunper was blue. Nothing some spray on duplicolor can't fix!
Well...it was more complicated than I thought. I learned about a new thing for plastic called adhesion promoter.

Then the guy who sold me the bumper helped install everything and bend everything back into place.

I repainted my roof last month. Too.

 

Does that need to be programmed?

 

Nope! Pulls via the fob and otherwise works with door lock as is (mind the lock rod clips..)

It’s just the door lock actuator assembly. Moves the components that make things work but inputs requiring programming lie outside of that.

 

It's weird, it like cracked a layer of frame but underneath its all solid

 

Cool! Mine unlocks from a distance but to lock it, I have to be right next to the door

 

Investigated a potential HG issue on the truck this weekend, found nothing out of the ordinary so I'm just going to send it until I can't.

Also did a compression test, 198K miles on this motor.

 

whats the normal range of compression for these engines?

 

This is what i followed, I hope its right or at least close.

 

You’ll probably need all of these if you go that route… that said dealer would charge at least $500/door

On the same train, choo-choo! I went with the Morimoto XB in Red Smoke for OEM+ look.

May LIGHT smoke them further with tint, but definitely not blacking them out. Reverse is BRIGHT. Sequential Turn is Amber despite the Red Smoke, which is chefs kiss. I did have to do some resistor calculation as I'm running aftermarket upfront too. That was fun, lol.
