    Working on it...
    Hello all,

New member here and new to the Tacoma world overall!

    Just a lil introduction,

I'm now the proud owner of a 2013 Tacoma Double Cab PreRunner. This truck belonged to my brother-in-law who passed away last year. My BiL and myself grew up together and were like brothers, so I've decided to mod the truck in his honor.

The truck needs a lotta work to bring her up to her heydays, since it was heavily neglected. Engine runs very well thankfully, so it's more like cosmetics inside and outside and some parts replacement here and there.

As of today, I've gotten a new front bumper, custom rear bumper, custom front grille, custom fender flares, smart cap, custom roof rack. I've ordered a new set of headlights, taillights, fog lamps, 3rd brake light, all from Morimoto. New custom steering wheel, knobs, new radio upgrade, interior will be custom, leather seats and custom headliner. I mean. the list is long and expensive. Still working on what set of wheels should I go with, and tires, the truck will get painted to a 2024 color, and more...

I look forward to getting some ideas, wild ideas are absolutely welcomed. Tips, opinions, anything.

    Welcome

You have spent a bunch of money already on a Tacoma that you state was heavily neglected. Have you checked the frame? Heavily neglected Tacomas have a tendency towards heavily rusted frames. You don't say what area you live in, but check it.

Actually, there are some signs of rust on the frame, so it will be getting some undercoat. Thank you for the heads up.

I live in Miami, the truck has spent most of it's yrs down here (at least after purchase by my BiL), unkwn where was it before then. The truck has lost the clear coat on 30% of the body, especially on roof. The engine was never cleaned; it was maintained as far as oil change and basic maintenance. Has dents and visible scratches all over the body. The interior, seats, headliner, seat belts, door panels, all absolutely dirty, stained, etc. Hence I used the word 'neglect'.

So far I'm in $6k in the hole, but I had figured it would cost me around $12k - $15k to bring this little truck back to life. But I definitely think it's going to be worth it.:fingerscrossed:
