I had to squint a little bit but yeah, Medical Oncology Patient Parking only. My question is, does that go on infinitely to the right? My suspicion is that the sign's intent is just that.

Someone in the thread earlier complained about not enough HC spots in a hospital. Hospital probably has a minumum number of HC spots. It would take multiple acts of God for them to convert the Non-HC spots into HC, or to move them. Been there, done that when I tried to put in more HC spots in companies I worked in. Could not do it.

PS my wife is permanently disabled and has a HC plackard. Last nigt it took 2 hours of massage and heat for her back to relax enough to go sleep. Sleeping in recliner was not enough.

PPS my Godfather was a C4 tetraplegic. I have more than a passing interest in HC parking.

Still counts as @sshole parking which is why I posted it. Too me, it's just not as egregious as the previous one I posted at the crowded breakfast joint.

 

No parking garage, all parking is outside..
But you would think that when they added the 3rd floor of the Dr offices building some years ago, that they would have added a few more HC spots, there is only 6 total for that building, which houses the Heart and Vascular office, the pain Dr offices as well as the Orthopedic and rehab offices just to name a few, all of which are for people not in the best of health... And trust me, the hospital is not government funded, they have money and keep adding on...

Now what pisses me off more than anything, is when a driver will drop off someone and then pull around and park in a HC spot cause they have a place card, but NEVER get out of the vehicle, then pull back around to the door to pick the person back up...If you are not getting out of the vehicle don't freaking park in a HC spot!!!

 

It costs money to put in HC parking. It means a bigger parking lot for the same number of cars. Doctors and hospitals are here to make money, not to cure people or make thier office visits easier. With few exceptions.
Last time I put a parking lot in (10 years ago), it ran me close to $85k for 30ish cars, all in.
