Does the target boost have any influence on spring pressures? I would not think so. Cam lift and Max. RPM would be what I expect influence spring pressure needs. Consult your camshaft specs or manufacturer.

 

Boost does influence spring choice because there's pressure on the back of the valve effectively canceling some of the spring force that would otherwise be available to close the valve. 20psi on the back of a 38mm valve is about 35lbs of force.

 

I think that may be a wholesale price because it's similar to what I saw on Aliexpress for orders with a minimum quantity.

 

Of course, makes sense, is pressure on back of both the intake and the exhaust. Not sure how long it might have taken me ot realize that, but Of Course.

 

You can run off spring alone if no boost reference is added to the wastegate. Would be trial and error to dial it in unless someone has the same WG and runs same boost as your target.

 

Gentlemen, I’m about to do a parts dump on the forum and I’ll list items I think are of interests here before I put them on the sale board.
First up was a proof of concept G10 spacer to stop plenum heat soak. 2TR-FE of course. I didn’t bother to put the factory oring grooves in it, that was going to be added if I mass produced it, it was RTV in place and performed so well I didn’t bother making another.

It brakes my heart I didn’t install this.
R155 5th gear is 0.8:1 for 20% overdrive
This 5th gear set is from another Toyota R trans, is 0.694:1 for 30% overdrive.
Sounds crazy unless you’re turbo charged on 4.10s+
I’ll need $400 for this. It cost more than this to buy it, had to import from Japan. Last I checked at least 2 of the parts aren’t available anymore. I broke my trans down twice to measure and then verify fitment but was before I installed the turbo. I never felt like dropping it to install after the turbo and always thought I’d get around to it.

 

Damn, and I thought Tremec parts were expensive.

Should be running Haltech etc to get most out of these, I will provide calibration.
I had tried the R35 COPs but was not happy with fit, as they have different orientation (I had made a conversion bracket). Stalk is from another vehicle, too much time spent and dollars wasted finding one that worked. Direct mount, no conversion bracket needed. Plug-n-play harnesses.

Would need to measure mount hole distance, length of stalk and compare wiring.
Are the 1GR mount hole at right angle to body, like these, or in line?

 

Negative, they are 180° from the harness plugs.
