A lot of what I have is industrial/EBM (Not to be confused with EDM). It's too electronic for people who like metal, but too dark for people who like techno.

    Nope, haven't heard of it

They're good, I've seen them 2 or 3 times in CT, they put on a great show!

Yessir, we actually used Sunshine by Goalkeeper as our entrance song. Those dudes are awesome and down to earth. Wasn't able to make their Boston or RI shows. I think Millington had a RI show coming up though

    Bluesy, more than bluegrass.
Billy strings is the biggest thing in Bluegrass right now, he spent his middle school years in a metal band, which he carried over into his bluegrass playing.

I actually dislike it when he is on electric.

However, one of my favorite times when he was on electric, Halloween a few years ago, did a lord of the rings theme.

I was just talking to someone about Billy at Folk Fest.

Luke Combs came out and did a stripped down acoustic set to headline Saturday and *killed it*. They didn't do any stupid surprise guests which I think cheapens the whole thing for the artist(s) which are headlining, it detracts from their set when people are there just to see if there's a special guest.

And we had Trombone Shorty, Mavis Staples, Hayley Williams, John C Reily, and more that I can't even remember now show up unannounced throughout the weekend, so, "Chill guys, y'all got plenty" basically.

Love seeing collabs. That's one of the biggest things I think I get spoiled by at folk fest. Seeing Lukas Nelson, Sarah (h?) Jerosz, and Maren Morris team up Me and Bobby McGee is something that you don't really get anywhere else.

Lucas Nelson has been killing it recently. I agree with headliners shouldn’t have a ton of guests. I like how some festivals have been doing artist in residence, where a bigger name/ up and coming, joins smaller known bands for a song in their set.
And that folk fest is a top notch festival. Trombone Shorty is on my list to see.

Sunday nights headline was a set called "Songs for the people" and it was MC'd by John C Reily and they just kept pulling random artists from the whole weekend up together and it was about 75 minutes of pure "Holy hot damn they just did that together". But yeah, when it's an artist headlining, they deserve that attention to be the headliner.

Stephen Wilson Jr. did a song for his late father, and it was about how he was his father's son ("Jr.") and dedicated it to him, and it was such a good feel, and then he goes "Oh okay so next I want to bring Lukas Nelson onto the stage" and Lukas comes out like "Bro, come on...that song sent me..."

What are peoples thoughts on refinancing an auto loan for a lower interest rate? Since my loan application, i have had a salary increase of 18% and have a better debt to income ratio. I have have 42 months remaining until loan maturity (on paper), but am on schedule for paying it off in 38 months (with overpayments). I believe most refinance options have no fees.

    EDIT: 33 months

Who's the original loan through? I am a huge proponent of using a credit union for loan financing. If there's no financial downside to refi then just do it

Bank of America. The credit union i bank through lists the rate for members at only 0.3% lower than current. My friend referred me to a local credit union to reach out to.

I think what I like most about festivals is that it caters to my music ADHD. An hour set is great, beyond that i start to lose focus.

Run an amortization calculator to determine how much interest you have left to pay.

Then run an amortization table with the new rate / term and see what you’ll pay in interest. If it’s lower than the first loan, you’re golden.

I refinanced the STi before the first payment to save a few hundred dollars in interest as the dealer couldn’t match AAA’s best rate. The rate didn’t change a ton, but it wasn’t insignificant either. The only thing that caught me was the interested accrued prior to the first payment raised the principal and I had forgotten that was happening. The new bank also used a 45 day pause for the first payment rather than 30 which changed the terms a bit but I still ended up ahead.

I encourage everyone in CT to go through Sikorsky Credit Union for financing

Pretty sure my rate on the GX was like 2.24%
