Having a bumper delivered soon. And know we have to cut the old one to install the new one, but I'm wondering what product you all have found to be The best in sealing the edge of the cut bumper, thanks in advance

 

Pinch molding or called edge molding

 

Rubber edge trim is what I googled to get this image. My bumper came with two lengths of it
Make sure whatever size you get, that it has metal in it so you can crimp it around and bends or curves and have it stay secure
You can see some in the drivers corner disappearing into the bumper and behind the bull bar. The trim just sort of terminates, unfinished, where the edge meets the chopped fender flare. Yet to find a nice looking way to finish that area but 100% better looking than just chopped plastic

Style 2, in both categories, is what I am using for my "Viper Cut" since I sold my bumper.

 

If people are suggesting rubber trim for such a project, I can tell ya that Amazon has a bunch and for cheap.

I used it when I made myself a shop stool in order to protect it, and my vehicle, from having a bare metal spine from hitting anything and damaging it.









Works great and it's held up very well. I like that there are metal barbs that really dig in to "bite" whatever you're installing them on.

 

You can leave it bare, as the bumper cover is just plastic. Leave half an inch gap between the stock bumper cover plastic and the metal bumper to account for cab mount bushing flex.
