    When i purchased my truck, it was 2yrs old, i had excellent credit, good income, and put 18% down. I was shocked (and a little embarrassed to admit) that the best interest rate offer was 7.89%.
    I called around a bit and can refinance for 5.99 @ 36 months and it should save me about $1,500 in interest charges. I was considering going to 24 months, but it doesn't bring my interest rate any lower. I'll continue to shop around with some local credit unions.

    @jmferg

    Are you a AAA member?

    They have posted rates on their site that are generally pretty solid.

    If there’s no pre-payment penalty just compare the interest paid in 24 vs 36 if you ended up paying the 36 in 24.

    For car loans I typically set the term at a worst case number, if everything goes sideways I can still afford $X. Then I pay more. For example, if I might be able to easily afford say a 36 month term, but a 48 will give me a bit of wiggle if I need it. Yes, you pay more in interest over just doing 36 but I view that insurance against an unexpected cost.

    Others may disagree with that viewpoint but it has always worked well for me and I’ve always paid my cars off early.

    Anything over 3-4%, pay off ASAP. I would be chugging every extra penny into a loan over 5%.

    But yes, get the longest term. We refi'd to a 30 year mortgage for that reason. 15s are nice, and I can simulate it by overpaying (ish), but we "have to" pay the 30 year PITI every month, extra principal is just gravy.

    If there's no prepapyment penalty (post 2008 there typically isn't), then just be hammering down. Auto loans are different too, where they accrue the interest daily or some shenanigans like that. So pay them off as much as you can biweekly I think is the best way to do it. I dunno, it's been a while.

    Hey are you using the longer 4x8 trailer or the 4x4? How are you extending your tube? Are you replacing the other one or using it to slide into the original? What size tube did you end up getting and what gauge? I’m about to purchase the 4 x 4 and do the same thing for my Greenland II’s

    Depends on the band, both the amount of material they have and how much I'm into them.

    @crashngiggles My coworker and I share hot sauces and I am running out of ideas on what to get. Not looking for crazy spicy and the sauce substrate is eggs and breakfast food. Any recommendations?

    What is your comfortable heat level? I have tried almost everything out there and can give you really good recommendations depending on your level of comfort. Is your level "Franks red hot or Tabasco" Level......Higher? What is the hottest thing you have tried and "liked?"

    Definitely higher than franks, tabasco, Cholula. The upper end are some of the ghost pepper sauces, not a fan of most of them cause they just go for heat instead of flavor.

    As some of you guys know already I am actually a very big chilly head and my level heat in hot sauce well above the average person's level. Just to give you an example, if anyone has ever watched the show Hot Ones on Youtube, I have actually purchased "Da Bomb" back in 2016 prior to hot ones even coming into existence. I have an ongoing collection of about 50 to 60 different hot sauces at home and some of what I actually have are collectors items from Blair's.
