id like to preface this post with I work for Toyota so im able to order things to spec, but unfortunately cant go into too many details as of process or payments....

So I got my kid a 2025 SR5 ordered and being built on 8-18. Loaded it was as many Toyota accessories I can. Obviously tint shop will be first stop because you cant have a vehicle in Texas without it. Im looking at a bed rug/mat because that wasn't an option available. It will have cloth seats, im looking for quality seat covers that won't really effect the heated seat function that you all have personal experience with.

other than fuel and a loose nut behind the wheel what do these truck lack? what are some quality accessories (that can be removed at end of lease if needed) that the brain trust has learned should be mandatory

    TIA

    Katzkin seat covers.

Don't load up on aftermarket anythings if it's a lease unless you actually buy it. ANY altered part/s can cost you on turn in if you don't still have the OEM parts. Leases are for people who keep something 100% stock.

We will have the option to buyout at the end like a normal lease, but it's loaded with almost everything. just trying to figure out which creature comforts have found with experience that can be added/removed with time.

I have a 2013 tacoma with 200+k on it. So I have a truck already and wouldn't need to keep this one for myself at the end. unless the kid wanted it but we have a 2025 Rav4 hybrid that will be potentially her college vehicle

PM me if you are open to adopting an old man. Already done with school, no debt you'd become obligated for. Other than the truck.

I adopted my daughter, so thats plenty for me at this time. maybe once shes self sufficient we can work out a monthly payment plan with adoption options.

    My input:

I bought the OEM bed mat from the dealer parts counter when I bought my 2017 almost nine years ago, it's help up great and I'd do it again with a 4th gen.

Not sure what might be different with current cloth seats vs what's in my 2017, but with over 100k miles mine barely show any wear. I personally wouldn't worry about seat covers until/unless you know for sure you'll have an issue.

I can't think of anything a new trucks needs that it don't already come with. I can't recall buying any real accessories for any truck. Sure I've swapped out floor mats for other floor mats, and bought mats when none came with the truck. I'd probably only change tires and maybe add a skid plate. I don't need a tonneau cover, any kind of console or glove box organizer, or any phone mounts, I'm not a fan of dash cams. These are things most people add and are pretty popular but I don't have much use for any of it.

Funny enough I added all of those accessories on to it when putting it together. all weather floor mats are a mandatory since shes an athlete and will have lots of dirty feet in there. Rubber mats have saved all our vehicles over the years from running equipment and multiple short cleats

Toyota should offer all weather floor covering you can still put mats on top of it.

Each to their own, but they do come in handy when the other driver causes an accident and then blatantly lies about it to the LEO.

If I were you, she’d be driving the 2013. Good luck.

the insurance on the 2013 is the exact same amount that it is to lease the 25. I want my 2013 to last till 400k, I know that won't happen if a teenager drives it lol. plus more safety features on the 25

I'm sure the police are use to being lied to, it's not like the other driver has a camera to prove they were not at fault.

Go with EKR or Clazzio covers. Katzkin are not covers, but replacements. They are expensive, but great. EKR is a good and lower price option. Clazzio covers cost more than EKR, but are also nice. I have had all three on different vehicles, with the Katzkin on my current Tacoma, EKR on my son’s RAV4, and Clazzios on my 3rd Gen Tacoma.
