Ordered a few samples of leather from the shop I got my leather from.

Will either make this stool for a customer, or say fuck it and do it for myself.

Yeah it's a GFCI one, hopefully just a ground fault somewhere then...we had the breaker box go bad at our old place and that wasn't a cheap ordeal. Come to think of it I never did get the landlord to reimburse us for that lol. But that house used an ancient breaker that wasn't easy or cheap to find.

@Kwikvette do you guys get raccoons out there. When my parents had a koi pond their biggest issue was getting the raccoons to stop catching the kois

Naw no raccoons, just coyotes and well they never make it to the backyard.

There is however a white cat that circles the top of the fence.

I know I'll want to have a "top" on hinges to cover up when I'm not in the backyard as the thought did occur, but I'm betting that if I have a deep enough pond that should act as enough of a deterrent.

Idk, we had a 3’ pond and would still lose fish to them. Had to put a electric fence up around it lol. That was fun to make my friends touch as a kid lmao.
My grandfather did have a cover over his pond for the same reason

You know, if you want your own stool you can come out here and run that 110v line out to the pillar of my covered patio.

You'll have to provide the breaker, wire, conduit, and waterproof box.

Glad this Home Depot flood light uses cheap, easy to find batteries.

    20250730_145651.jpg

Not that the light is expensive to replace, but I didn't want to go out and buy a new setup only to drill different holes on shit for mounting.

It's served us well for over 3 years and 5 months through rain and many days in triple digit heat.

It's been running really dim lately at night when it turns on.
