Hello everyone. I recently acquired my first Tacoma and I have always wanted to be an owner. Thanks to everyone in advance for any help I may receive. I was led here looking for help with my truck having some negative camber on the driver side tire. Anyone that could point me to some previous threads would be great. Thanks everyone

You probably have froze cam bolts. Can't adjust camber with those locked up.

Alignment shops won't tell you unless you specifically ask them to check.

Thanks for the reply I'll look into it. I was told they did the best they could and it drives worse. I'm new to tacomas only really ever worked on old chevys and Fords unfortunately.

Froze cam bolts on the control arms on all Toyota trucks is very common.

I've been rebuilding Tacoma and Tundra trucks since 1998. Every, damn, truck had froze cam bolts. The bolts have to be cut off with a grinder thin disk or a saw zall blade. The bolts have to be replaced and often the bushings as well.

My most recent rebuild was a 2021 Tundra with 13k miles. Yep, it had siezed cam bolts.

    It's very common.

Ok so to test I just make sure the upper and lower control arm bolts move freely inside the rubber housing?

There are only front and rear control arm bolts on the "A" arm, which is the bottom control arm.

The upper control arm has no adjustment.

If the cam bolts are froze, you won't budge them even with an air impact wrench. The bolts are froze to the bushings and the rubber surrounding the bushing will just dampen the impact wrench torque, hence they will need cut out.

Get under the truck and you will see how it works.

So I finally got around to checking the bolts. Had some rain come through and hindered me a couple days. All the bolts seem fine and can be adjusted, but when turning the adjuster it didn't seem as if it made a difference in the tire at all. Could the bushings be worn out causing a lack of adjustment?

Did you have the truck tires off the ground? You will have a hard time noticing if the tire camber is changing. It's difficult to notice even when the tire is off the ground.
