Love the extra torque, I think I'm up 30% compared to the 22RE. (Perhaps my tri-Y header offsets the high mileage) It feels as though I can drive around one full gear higher in all situations compared to the 22RE.

Removed front bumper, has to get powder coated again. Really debating going to a stock bumper and getting rid of the c4 bumper.

Your driver's side headlight and grille are crooked? Did you hit something on the 401 trail?

You mean odometer? Resetting to 0 creates complications for plate renewal and insurance.

Hi does anyone know a shop in Ontario, preferably close to Ottawa, that can repair and certify a first gen 2003 Tacoma?
It runs and drives great, needs brake and exhaust work… couple holes in the bed too, and the usual frame situation…
I have a budget of 3k or so… but I don’t want to spend that if I end up with no safety…
I have tried 3 local to me shops, and no takers so far…
The frame doesn’t look that bad to me… would love to get this truck on the road!

More pics available… didn’t want to hog the thread…
Any leads appreciated. Surely there’s a Tacoma enthusiast mechanic out there that can save this Taco…!?

That frame is done. Your best bet is to find a clean bed and frame from the us and swap everything over. There is probably nothing left to weld to.

Yeah, that’s about 10-15K in repairs… the truck is worth scrap value with that frame. Only DIY can be done on the budget. From my personal experience reviving the 25 year old cruiser.
