Colonoscopy: I finally let my doctor talk me into getting my first one, in late August. I am NOT looking forward to it. My wife had one done a few years ago. They fucked up the anesthesia and she woke up in the middle of it.

I did that one about 6 or 7 years ago. Never heard a peep about any results, so assumed nothing of significant concern found. I'm 58 now, never had the full procedure done. Current doctor has been asking me for a year or so if I would do it, had been declining until now. Still don't wanna do it.... If they don't find anything, then I am probably not going to do it again for a loooong time.

Even though I'm insulin-dependent diabetic, I'm allergic to needles. The first 'oscopy I did was just with an oral relaxer about 30 before the procedure, no issues. It wasn't THAT bad.

The last time, the nurses come in with IV bag and takes 3 of them to get it in a vein. "Can't I just be awake???" I remember counting down from 10 to 8 . . .
